First of all, I would like to extend special thanks to the hotel for their cooperation, and especially to Mr. Ninomiya from the hotel for his tremendous assistance, which made my partner and I experience a truly romantic and unforgettable time. The hotel staff spoke good English and were very friendly. The environment was tranquil and clean, the hot springs were excellent, and the view from the room I booked was absolutely superb. If I have the chance to visit Beppu for a vacation again in the future, I will definitely return and will also recommend it to my friends.

The hotel building is artistic designed, staff are super helpful and friendly, and fusion dishes at the Peak restaurant are excellent. The environment and surrounding are very pleasant but don’t expect convenience stores nearby.
The only negative thing is they have onsen built in the room. When first stepped into the bedroom, there’s a strong smell of sulfur. The hotel probably wants to address it by having good ventilation such as air freshener machine prior to check in otherwise guests would get the wrong impression of poor/dirty drainage.

Best in all ways. Location, views, spacious, interior design, quality furnishings, cleanliness, in room amenities, restaurant, staff’s service. Premium price but worth it!

For an award winning design hotel that opened only less than 5 years ago, the hotel is poorly maintained. There was dust on the wall next to the bedside table, the toilet door frame had one broken part that was sticking out, the black Gessi shower mixer had many white water (or other) stains, etc. There were two plastic wrappers in the shower area at a high spot which the housekeeping team missed out on. There was no master switch to turn off all lights in the room conveniently. The staff who greeted us at the front porch stood there without helping us unload the big luggages from the car. Overall, it was not worth the amount paid.

I had a pretty easy time checking in and out, which was great. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the city, so it’s not too bad if you have a car. However, I found the laundry situation a bit frustrating—there was only one machine, and it wasn’t very convenient. The room could have been cleaner, too. I noticed some handwriting on the window that really shouldn’t have been there. Plus, the air conditioner was dripping water, and it ended up making my luggage wet. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience.

Found the contact lens on bed side table which is belonged to previous guest and very dusty vacuum cleaner under TV. Reflected the comments and showed the pictures to Front Desk upon departure. The girl apologised and then went back to back office. Thats it!!!!!!!!! To be honest, room is just average and not to mention the cleanliness. Very disappointed stay!

The view of the hotel was great and their amenities was so good. The indoor onsen was so good and you will really enjoy it in winter. The location is a bit difficult to reach without driving.
