Hotel Labella Bergama

It was a satisfactory experience. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and facilities were fulfilling. Waiters/waitresses were kind and hardworking, especially female personnels were kindest. Although, I cannot say the same things for reception. They were careless and rude as you would not expect from a hotel personnel. Also whenever I go to the reception, they would smoke and were not in their place. Except the reception, it was a delightful accommodation for me.

Surly and unhelpful staff. Food thrown down in front of us in a needless hurry. Could not sleep because of VERY noisy wedding party in the courtyard which went on until midnight. Uncomfortable bed. No decent coffee at breakfast - something powdered which tasted like floor sweepings. Reception staff uninterested in their guests.

This hotel would once have been a great hotel and with a little attention to maintenance could be again. We had a balcony room which was a good size with plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was also a reasonable size although the shower was o bit small. The surfaces were clean but the grout in the shower needed a good scrub. Also, the carpet was stained and dirty. The wifi did not work in the room. When we arrived there was only 1 towel in the room but I went to reception to request another one and it was promptly brought to the room. There was also no kettle in the room but on request this was delivered to our room. After our room was serviced the following day we again got only 1 towel and although the kettle was left in the room the 2 cups were removed. Another trip to reception and we got the towel but not the cups. Breakfast was quite good with a range of foods and eggs cooked to order. We had dinner at the hotel one night and this was also quite good. There was little English spoken but we managed to communicate OK. There was free parking at the hotel which was great because it is located out of the centre.

If you’re looking for a stop on your way this hotel might be it. Prices are great. We stayed in a suite. It was pretty large. Room was clean. Staff was kind and helpful. We had an open buffet breakfast. There were plenty kinds of things on the buffet. Only thing that bothered me was the smell in the shower. It was probably from the pipes but it was disturbing.
