Decent hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Had a couple of meals there and everything was really tasty. The rooms are a little dated, but perfectly comfortable and spacious. Mine had a lovely view of the river. The gym is a bit ropey, but the hotel is in a great spot for running by the river. Great for a business trip, but probably not somewhere I’d stay for leisure.

Fantastic stay in Berlin. We stayed for 4 nights and would really recommend this hotel. In a great location a short walk from Bellevue Station, and one stop from Berlin Hbf (Central Station). Sheets and towels changed daily. Room service fantastic, ordered 2 morning coffees and they arrived within minutes. Room decorated beautifully, lots of space and you’re able to open the window fully - great for fresh air. A shame there is no iron or mini fridge in the room, that would’ve pushed it up to 5 stars for me. Staff welcoming and friendly. Overall a lovely stay and we would return!

We weren't 100% sold on this place based the lack of recent reviews, and online info speaking poorly about the neighborhood...but everything was great. I got the sense that it was mainly business guests (it's in a business-heavy district), but it was a great quiet base for our week in Berlin as tourists. The Bellevue S-bahn stop is a comfortable 5 minute walk away, will be your best friend as it links you into the main transit artery of the city. The neighborhood (Moabit) has a mixed reputation, but it was so pleasant, clean, and quiet to stay in and walk around. Lots of families, very few other tourists, very green/right on the river, and the food we ate (shout out to Quê Choa, open late) was very good. It may have been a weird glitch, but we didn't receive any confirmation info from the hotel when I booked. I emailed a week later to ask about it and got a brief reply with a confirmation number. Then I got the full confirmation about a week before the stay. Long story short, there's not much info available ahead of time--but that was the only downside to our experience. The room was extremely spacious -- probably 3X the size of the room we paid more for in Paris and comfortable. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. It wasn't clear ahead of time, but front desk staff were there at all hours and helpful. Would most definitely go back.

Thought the place was great, food +, service + accommodation +... But a problem occurred... the polizei got called and I got detained for 24 hrs. Not fun but hey! Then the hotel banned me from eating , drinking or sleeping there. Here's to LEF as they say in france! Well done and kind regards to Christian the duty mgr

Received the wrong room. When we asked, the staff were disrespectful, laughed at us several times, insulted us and then reluctantly gave us the room we had actually booked. Air conditioning in both rooms broken, inside temperature of 27°C. Unfortunately, it couldn't even be regulated by opening the windows.

The location at the Spree-Bogen is excellent. The room is spacious and very well equipped. Sure, there were a few small things that one could complain about, but that's not enough for me to deduct a point. Firstly, I slept very well and very quietly both nights, secondly, I was extremely satisfied with the breakfast in the neighboring AMERON Waterside Hotel, and thirdly, the price/performance ratio was outstanding. The terrace at the hotel or from the Carl & Sophie restaurant directly on the Spree invites you to a wonderful end to the working day. I felt very comfortable and will come back next time I'm in Berlin.

Full of anticipation we entered the suite and left it again after 5 minutes. The condition was an absolute cheek. The furniture was in a completely worn condition, the veneer of the walnut wood was flaking off everywhere, there were worn spots and stains on all the furniture, the floor was in a desolate condition and the air conditioning was also broken with an outside temperature of almost 30° . The windows were simply set wide open, which of course doesn't help. We were not informed of the broken air conditioning system, nor of the fact that the room, which was supposed to have a view of the Spree, was located at the back of a playground. The rooms may have been great ten years ago, but now at least this suite is an impertinence. We absolutely cannot understand the positive evaluation here and left immediately.
