The White Birch Inn

The check-in was contactless and effortless thanks to previous contact via text with check in details. Receiving a personal text also meant I had contact information in case of unforeseen circumstances, which I appreciated. The entry room was welcoming with fresh cupcakes, coffee and tea. The sleeping room was clean and comfortable - and quiet. My room faced the street and there was no traffic noise on a Friday or Saturday night. And although it was a full house when I stayed, I barely heard the other guests. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented by our hostess, Roslyn. She had even asked via text if there were any allergies or food preferences to take into account. It was a lovely stay and I will certainly return when I'm in the area.

My husband and I stayed at this charming bed & breakfast for an overnight as we were in town for a family get-together. We stayed in the lovely and nicely-appointed Hydrangea Room. It had everything we needed including a floor fan which is a huge plus for me because I need white noise to sleep. Everything was very tidy. There was a small fridge in the room with cold bottles of water. The bathroom was spotless. The bed was quite comfortable. The check-in process was super easy. We ended up arriving later in the day but had no trouble getting in or finding our room. The next morning Saydi welcomed us with breakfast complete with coffee, juice and fresh fruit to start along with a delicious breakfast casserole and sausage. The three of us ended up having a really nice chat as we were the only guests at that moment. Saydi is terrific! One of the nicest people you’ll meet. Because we were only in Berwick overnight we didn’t have an opportunity to explore more of the bed & breakfast. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay overnight at The White Birch Inn. Saydi was friendly and very eager to accommodate us in any way. Breakfast was very enjoyable! The owner prepared a French Toast Casserole and Saydi made some tasty egg bites. Overall, we were happy with the care we received and would stay here again if we traveled through the area.

The location is great, quiet street in a neighborhood only 2 blocks from a grocery store. It's a nice old building. In the Rose Room we got a fridge and a microwave and a very large king size bed including a bathroom/shower. There was a kitchen downstairs that we used to heat up a more complicated dinner. Also down there was a comfortable living room plus dining room with cakes, cookies, and drinks. We had a relaxing time sitting on one of the outdoor tables for our dinner. There is even a soda machine out there if you need it. There was no check-in to speak of. The owner texted my cell phone telling me to enter at my leisure. That probably is not normal but I really liked the way that was done. The owner then made a very good breakfast next day, really satisfied with how it was done. And they were able to accommodate any dietary restrictions. If for whatever reason I needed to stay in this area for a week, I wouldn't hesitate to come here. I wish I could say if there was room noise between rooms, but nobody stayed near us so I can't comment on that. I will say the road noise was not bad at all even considering the house is close to a road and we are sensitive to it. Must be good windows. The only major concern is there was a ton of ants crawling on the fridge in the room. If we killed them a bunch more would arrive in minutes, so there was obviously something going on there. They only were at the fridge, nowhere else, and for that reason we were not concerned with them. I would dock a star for this, but the fact that the entire place was so well done, I would rather not. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 9, not a 4 out of 5. Please take care of the ants, inn owner.

What a gorgeous place! Our room (the Willow) was beautifully appointed and the bed so comfortable. The are a few cozy nooks in the common areas to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee. They have a small bar that stays open til 9:00 pm that serves seasonal craft cocktails and top shelf brands. Nice wine list, too. Nice selection of breakfast choices--there's something for everyone.The staff was so friendly, responsive, and well organized. Cute shops and restaurants you can walk to. I especially appreciated how clean the inn is.
