A great place slightly outside of the main village We had a great room with a lovely view, clean modern decor and a new, well appointed en suite. The cooked breakfast is spot on and there are lots of alternatives - my fruit salad, yogurt and porridge on day 2 were just as good. My husband said that his scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were delicious. The hosts are very friendly, happy to offer advice on walks and Snowdonia in general, and keen to ensure that the room and breakfast are outstanding - job done!

My wife and I just returned from a 10-day whirlwind driving tour of Wales' three national parks (Pembroke Coast, Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons). We spent two nights in Betws-y-Coed at Marian, Pippa, and Martin's lovely B&B, Aberconwy House. Our stay was a perfect mixture of traditional B&B hospitality and comfort and privacy of a stay in a more traditional hotel. We stayed in room five on the top floor, which was perfect for our needs with a nice sitting area with a view of the hills beyond Betws-y-Coed. The room was on smallish side, but actually not an issue beyond the fact that we had an enormous amount of luggage that ended up cluttering our room (in hindsight, we could've left the larger bags in the car). Our cook-to-order breakfast in the morning was very tasty. The intimate breakfast room allowed us to interact with other guests and our hosts. Pippa would also send us off each morning with homemade Welsh cakes and Bara Brith as trail snacks, which I thought was a really nice touch. I think the highlight of the entire stay though, was the hosts and their friendly and inviting approach to their guests. They really made us feel at home. If you show up at Aberconwy House with loose plans on how to spend your time in Snowdonia (or no plan at all), Martin and Pippa are ready to help you with all the information you need to make the most of your day. They both helped us plan our hike of Cwm Idwal on day one and also plan our route to Abergavenny (Brecon Beacons) on day two. We did have a slight issue with spotty Wifi on our second night there, but it was not enough of an issue to even raise it with them. Our hosts were also very clear that te walk to town (across the river) was not a short one (about 20 minutes) due to the foot bridge over the river being closed for renovations. We will look forward to that bridge being open during our next visit. All in all, we can't recommend this B&B enough. If you're looking for a comfortable stay with engaging hosts in the heart of Snowdonia (Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful little town), look no further.

Warm, Welcoming and Wonderful are the owners of this B&B treasure. Martin, Pippa & Marian have a great passion for Wales/Snowdonia which comes across during your stay. They are tremendous hosts always making sure everyone gets the most from their break away. Over the years I have stayed in a number of B&B’s in the area as a solo traveller and never felt so welcome from the start to the end of my break. They all work so hard to make sure everyone has a great time. The location, comfort and quality of fixtures & fittings are second to none. The breakfast is superb and covers all dietary tastes. This was my third stay and already booked again for 2025.

What a lovely little place this B&B is and run by as equally lovely people. We stayed in room 6, it was beautiful; lovely and clean and had everything we needed in it (including the complimentary chocs & biscuits!) The view out of the large window is stunning. There just aren’t enough superlatives to describe the view and we never tired of it. Breakfast was tasty and served by the very attentive owners who were happy to engage in conversation and offer their advice and knowledge on the local area. Thank you for a wonderful stay. On arrival, the greeting from Pippa, Martin and Marian feels like you have been coming for years, after showing you to your room, for us was room 2 which has a fantastic view of the Snowdonia national park, the room has a queen size bed large shower room with a fantastic shower, everything you could ever need is in the room. Iron and board, kettle and well stocked draw of tea , coffee or chocolate, even a battery lamp for if you go out at night, you have a free parking space, and to set you up for each day a fantastic breakfast is included with a massive choice of vegan vegetarian as well as excellent quality meats from locally sourced produce. I will and have indeed booked again for 2025

We had an excellent stay at Aberconwy House! Martin, Marian, and Pippa extended a warm welcome and offered great tips both before and during our stay. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and a nice seating area looking out over the hills, Everything was immaculately clean and well thought out. Breakfast was delicious with several diet-friendly choices (vegan, dairy-free, etc.), and Martin even sent us off both days with delicious, homemade Welsh cakes. The location is very convenient to the town of Betws-y-coed without being too close to the hustle and bustle. We would definitely stay again.
