The visit to the Tickton Grange was to celebrate my wife’s birthday, the evening just fell a bit short. The food was excellent and the service was very good the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the restaurant and lounge bar area was uncomfortable cold, had it been warm it would of been a pleasurable dining experience.

Over the years we have used the Tickton Grange hotel several times over the past 20 years. My father celebrated his 65th and 70th birthdays in one of the hotel's rooms available for private hire. The hotel was originally a small country house circa 1840, and is located just a few miles from the historic town of Beverley. It still retains olde fashioned charm and character, sadly lacking today. This is down to its long standing owners of more than 40 years, who are present to greet all arriving guests on Christmas Day. We started going for Christmas dinner in 2018, and have only missed one in 2020 when due to Covid restrictions it was closed. The food is always consistently excellent, and the staff very friendly and efficient. The hotel caters for all, at all times of the years and is popular for afternoon tea.

We went for the Christmas afternoon tea on 23rd December and it could not have been more perfect. We received a very warm and friendly welcome and were seated in the beautifully decorated Bloomsbury Room. We started with a deliciously well balanced champagne followed by endless pots of freshly brewed Christmas tea~festively flavoured with orange and spices. The food, the vegetarian option, was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout but didn’t ever intrude…it’s got a very ‘family’ feel to it. Eileen told me they are open to just pop in for coffee, which would be really lovely and we’re definitely going to! Must mention the crockery…every piece is a work of art! Left with chocolates and tea for, very special, gifts and a feeling of total contentment. Thank you.

I came for afternoon tea and the food and presentation was amazing. The lady serving us was really lovely too and very welcoming. Following the afternoon tea I made an online order a few weeks later for collection and the general manager went out of his way to help make sure I got my order in time for Christmas. Lovely place to visit and the customer service is 5 star, thank you!

Such a lovely, relaxing, peaceful setting for our 1st anniversary getaway. The staff were exceptional. Everyone went the extra mile. The afternoon tea was as per all the reviews - delicious and of extremely high quality. Our room was spotless and cosy and couldn’t fault the evening meal. Just be aware that you might struggle for room for the dessert in the 5 course offer! Would love to return.

The afternoon tea was delicious, catering for all our dietary requirements! The food was plentiful and the staff were just amazing and friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. We sat in the library which was beautiful (but it all looked amazing!) I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A party of four old friends went for a light bite lunch. The menu was a little different and the food was delicious. We were looked after by Eileen who was so friendly and made us feel very special, there was no rush, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the surroundings were luxurious but comfortable. We finished off in the library lounge for tea and gorgeous Oaty Biscuits, we really had a lovely relaxed experience and can highly recommend the venue, the function rooms are stunning.

Another wonderful afternoon tea experience. We’ve visited here so many times to celebrate milestones within this lovely place! Tickton Grange once again didn’t disappoint! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. My mum and I visited as part of her birthday celebrations and could not have been more looked after by Iiene! She was so friendly, couldn’t do enough for us and most importantly kind! Kindness costs nothing and she had it in abundance! We always love our trips to Tickton Grange and can’t wait to go back!
