Hello, I would like to tell you about the bad experience we had at this campsite in August 2012. We were looking for a wooden chalet, and we found one on this campsite for 1000 €. At this price we also expected to get comfort and serenity. That has not at all what we had on the scene: 1. the owners were cold and almost impolite. The young staff they employed is nice though, but powerless. Then a “glass of friendship” where we were treated to 3 peanuts each and no more! The owner was not willing to offer some more to all the new toursits, it was obvious looking at her, moaning behind the counter. 2. the wooden terrace of the cottage was not sweapt and the plastic table and chairs weren’t clean, We had to wash them before using them. 3. no AirCon 4. TV was extra. The WIFI was next to the reception desk, at the entrance of the campsite only. 5. a wasp nest under the roof of the cottage! We warned the owners of the campsite. No reaction. The reason: "To remove a wasp nest, we have to remove the tiles from the roof, and we can only do that at the end of the season!" 6. no commercial refund, of goodwill, we would have appreciated a discount on the price of the week ... but impossible to speak about it: the owner turned her back to us in the middle part of the conversation! In the end we cut our stay because we could not stand to be here any longer! The owners are a relatively old couple, they are overtaken by things, are greedy with money and see too many tourists. They are not able to provide the service if needed. What really put us off was their absence of reaction to the swap nest, which is a matter of health and safety ... I would not recommend this site at all, although the Miel Lake is nice and well equiped.

If you are able to make your own enjoyment and enjoy spending time together in a beautiful part of the world then you will love this site. If you like everything to be perfect maybe not so much. It is a little tired in places and the staff are lovely but a little disorganised when you arrive but this is part of its charm. Our children LOVED the lake and used it more than the sea in previous holidays, swimming in a lake is one of our favourite memories! The inflatable obstacle course is great fun and well managed 1-6pm. (We used to queue just before one o’clock so we were first on and it wasn’t as busy as later and this worked really well - the older kids and locals do get a bit loud and excitable so it worked better for us). We played tennis and walked round the lake. Our lodge tent was again a little worn but brilliant and having the bathroom was amazing! I didn’t look in the shower blocks so don’t know what they were like. There is only one restaurant on the site which we ate at once and the food was lovely. The local area is just stunning - we went to Brive but thus wasn’t the best one to choose initially but then we went to argentat (you have to sit by the river at one of the ice cream bars there it’s just stunning ) rocamaduer (that isn’t how you spell it!!) is just amazing you need to visit how it is built. Beaulieu sur dordogne was just stunning - it’s just like beauty and the beast land. We really had a truly wonderful special holiday - the lake made it. We went last 2 weeks of August - was cold a few nights in the lodge tent but we had gorgeous weather. It just broke the last couple of days.

The environment is so nice, it is such a waste... I went with family this summer and it was a disaster from day one. We rented mobile homes, they were VERY dirty, like no one cleaned it. No protection on mattresses and pillow. Not enough cutlery, plates to big for microwave. We also found mouse and we had tones of ants in the rooms. The door lock was broken, so we were unable to close door at all... I forgot to mention that the people in charge of course did nothing about this. Also, 2 lifeguards were suppose to watch the lac but they were more interesting in playing volleyball with friends... really a disaster.

Absolute worst service ever! At the reception nobody speaks English. Very rude people. Do not want to help you. Washing machines were not working. They just do not help you and get angry. Not friendly to children. Everything is old and dirty. The lake is very nice for kids but that is the only positive thing.

It was with great disappointment that my family and I discovered this campsite in the Lac de miel area, a campsite paradise to use your own words. In fact on the site we are told about a 4 star campsite paradise, the logo appears on a wall of your establishment and on my reservation voucher even though the name campsite paradise has no longer been attributed to you since July but you have continued to work with it. their logo, therefore misleading publication, misleading and abusive commercial practice. Added to this are many other dysfunctions of the establishment. Reception without a smile, no map of the campsite upon our arrival, no organization on the day of arrivals, no inventory of fixtures upon our arrival, anomalies must be declared at reception, but radio silence we don't see anyone, no inventory sheet in the mobile home. Unmaintained campsite, dirty site, dilapidated roads. Garbage bags remained for a week in front of a mobile home near ours without any member of the campsite staff deigning to remove them. Behind the mobile homes is a real recycling center (pallets with nails, pipes, holes, etc.). The most disturbing are the risks linked to insecurity Barrier at the entrance to the campsite which remains wide open day and night, no access code for campers everyone can enter the campsite so cars circulate at night. No identification bracelet for campers, no fire extinguishers in case, no light point at the back of the campsite, difficult to move around at nightfall, forcing us to take our flashlights, access gate at the unsecured beach, people from outside the campsite can enter the site as they wish. We paid for services which are praised on their site (and on sites like TripAdvisor, Corrèze tourism, camping. com and many others) Beach slide closed by the prefecture, but the manager does not say that. Dirty beach, not maintained. No internet connection, even after paying. Crockery and bed linen missing compared to the number of people planned in the mobile home. water games for children in very poor condition, and which does not operate every day. Dirty showers and toilets, not cleaned every day, cold showers. No supermarkets almost none of the services offered are not insured. welcome drink announced on Saturday upon our arrival scheduled for Monday evening at 7:00 p.m., is canceled without the camper being notified this is called having a lack of good manners. Few entertainments during the day and evening. Forced to insist on getting our deposit checks back. Anyway, a catastrophic campsite, we have to go to reception several times to get answers to our questions, but the staff tricks us into leaving them alone. I have been camping for many years and this is the first time I have come across such a site. I am

Many of the latest opinions seem to be all the same on an integration weekend; I don't think we should trust them. The campsite does not in any way correspond to what it may claim. Only the site and the lake are pleasant. There is no animation, the mobile homes are for the most part not maintained, the services offered are non-existent. Very young staff without training, invisible grocery store (2 preserves and 3 cakes...) Entertainment for a 4* worthy of an outdoor center for children. Invisible leaders fleeing their responsibilities. Clearly to be strongly avoided. I think that a passage from the dgcccrf would be welcome.

Functional and comfortable bungalows, a very nice welcome, in a splendid setting, both fitted out (great nautical activities possible) and natural, the recipe for a successful weekend on the shores of Lac de Miel.

The site is top, the lake is magnificent (especially during a beautiful day at the end of summer). The campsite is very large, wooded, I recommend it to nature lovers. The staff is very friendly: go for it.

How can we still have a place like this still open!!! But where is the DGCCRF!!!! Home non-existent and archaic !! The places are not maintained, mobile home which dates from the 40s! A very dubious swimming pool in terms of standards, unheated (complicated with children) which, moreover, was closed for half of our stay. Three outdoor games that fight duels... and I'm sure I'm still forgetting some more!!!! In view of previous reviews I think we should not have stayed in the same place !!!! Thank you for being honest with future unfortunates who will go there. GOOD LUCK !!!!!
