Room is comfortable and a sensational location overlooking Touma’s square. The welcome was warm and friendly and every staff member gave a warm smile everytime I passed them. So I had dinner here and really wanted to try some different Newari food. So I opted for two dishes, the Bhutan, goat tripe fried with onion capsicum tomato and Newari masala and the Saphu Mhicha, a fried Bone Marrow dish. What a delight, the bone marrow was deep fried encased in buff stomach portion crunchy and creamy if you love offal it’s a go to dish. The Bhutan was equally delicious with crunch and a spicy kick. Great service & the location is amazing - right in the heart of the old city! We were greeted with warm smiles & offers of hot drinks. We enjoyed a meal in the rooftop bar with views of the square & really enjoyed the incredible location- just step outside & old Bhaktapur is right there, just waiting to be explored!

Wonderful stay at Hotel Garuda! The rooms were lovely and the rooftop bar is fantastic! We had the most delicious meal, with a great atmosphere and fantastic view of the old city! The staff were so welcoming and helpful and provided the best possible service during our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would absolutely come again! 😊

Great location and staffs were so friendly. The view from the hotel are breathtaking and the location makes it easy to access major attractions. The staffs were friendly and accommodating which made my stay memorable. I will definitely visit this place again

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Garuda during my visit to Bhaktapur! Located in Taumadhi Square, it’s undoubtedly the best spot to soak in the vibrant festivals of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. My family and I had the privilege of enjoying Gai Jatra from their lovely rooftop restaurant, which offered breathtaking views of the festivities and the surrounding heritage sites. The ambiance was delightful, the staff were welcoming, and the food complemented the experience perfectly. If you’re looking for a place that combines tradition, culture, and hospitality, Hotel Garuda is a must-visit. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bhaktapur!

Very beautiful place around bhaktapur city. Hotel garuda is one of the most choosed hotels for staycation and also for dining. The foods here are very hygienic and really authentic. I fully recommend you to visit hotel Garuda . And all the staff members of Garuda is very helpful and kind .

We had a drink and meal at the roof top bar. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Hari particularly went out of his way to look after us. I asked if they had wine and he organised to buy a bottle so we could have some wine. He made a great wine choice. The view is fabulous. Food was tasty. Highly recommend for a drink with a view.
