The property is a 180+ year old set up in a village, 22 km away from Bharatpur. The hotel has limited rooms, a large garden, a sufficiently large pool and an excellent restaurant, making it a good choice for a weekend getaway. The hospitality extended by Mr Pushpinder, Mr Hamid Khan, Mr Puran and the rest of the staff made it a warm and memorable experience. Pros: Spacious rooms Courteous staff Excellent restaurant Swimming pool Privacy Cons: Monkey menace Electricity fluctuations Minor plumbing issues (promptly addressed)

Don’t be fooled by the photos. This hotel was completely run down. The approach was in a dirty little village with nothing around. Our room was dreadful, curtains hanging off the rails, tiles off the wall, bathroom very grubby, and monkeys over running everywhere in the grounds, as well as their excrement on the balcony

We had an amazing experience at this property, everything from food , service and ambience; it was superb. Highly recommend to family with kids. Staff was very courteous to the kids. Food was fresh and delicious. Wish we had more variety , but it was worth the price we paid for everything.

This hotel is an old haveli(villa) that has been converted. The place is no doubt nice but the infrastructure needs serious upgrade Cons 1) The ACs are old and need replacement. The fans are not on top of the bed hence they are rendered useless. Lack of ACs would be fine during winter but definitely not in summers 2) Taps and fixtures are also old and need replacement 3) The place has a lot of monkeys and if you are ok with that it’s fine. You will find monkey poop and the attending smell at times. Hence didn’t use the pool since saw the monkeys having a dip too 😊 4) Place is not senior or disabled friendly. Lots of steps to climb. Also no EV charger though it was mentioned as available. Pros 1) To make up for this lack of infra the staff puts in extra effort. The cook is good as is the food. 2) It is in a village and hence is quite calm with no traffic etc unless you have a boisterous NCR crowd playing loud Punjabi rap and drinking beer. All in all it is a good place but needs serious rework and investment by the management. You can only sweat an asset so much. I am sure if I were to have made the same trip during winter, my review would have been more favourable.

Very beautiful place to stay. Nice food and service. We enjoyed the camp fire. The room are very spacious and clean. There are lot of historical artifacts. Also staff are very friendly. Hameed Khan, Pooran and Vinod did very well service. Thank you for your kind Service staff.

Nestled in the rural landscape of a remote village named Paharsar in Bharatpur district, this property is a gem of a quaint peaceful abode. A family of four, we wanted to escape the poisonous air of Gurgaon, so we headed here for 3 nights. Welcomed by the warm hospitality of each and every team member, we loved the simplicity of this haveli which belonged to Nusrat Bhutto in pre partition India. Quaint Persian touch around the haveli, it was bought over by the Bharatpur royals ,thereafter being run by Amritara group. Having been to their property in Varanasi too, we loved the personal yet professional ethics of this group. Since we're there on Diwali day, the staff invited us to do the Diwali Puja ( prayer) with them. Taking care of our food requests, they attended to us immensely. Simple ,freshly made food is their USP. Not a huge range but what is made is made well. The property is neatly maintained, a menace of monkeys exist which one has to be alert about( the staff is very alert too). Hameed khan, pushpinder, pradeep were excellent all through. Floored by the generosity of every staff member, we relaxed and had a perfect Diwali break. A relaxed breakfast, idling in the lawns, swimming in the afternoon followed by lunch and siesta and then chilling in the evening...we enjoyed the holiday thoroughly. Thank you Amritara Chandra Mahal team.
