This is NOT a four-star hotel. They gave me an interior room on the first floor with no view so it felt like a room in a convent. When asked to upgrade no other rooms with WiFi were available. There are stains in the toilet, shower, and on the mirrors. After showering the water leaked from the shower onto the tile outside the shower despite a wall of glass. The table lamps were not working and management fixed it immediately. As for the hot water, it was scalding then quickly went cold. You can hear other guests in their rooms and the noise from courtyard. If you’re a western tourist, the bed is rock hard and you’re only given two pillows. The room service was prompt.

Lovely palace hotel. Room was large and clean with fan. Bathroom was old and bathtub has been repaired but not in a proper way. Dining area was small and dark. Diner buffet and breakfast buffet were ok. There was no water in the swimming pool. All rooms are different in size and colors.

Got vary little sleep as a wedding party was in full flow till midnight. Then we heard loud whirling and hooting of horns till gone 2am when they were clearing up. We got very little sleep that night. Our fridge didn’t work as no wires came out of the back. Eventually we were given another fridge, but whilst the inside lit up it stayed warm due to lack of gas, so we had no cold drinks. Also, our safe was broken, so we were not able to lock up valuables. Lastly, the pool was drained so we could not swim either.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely palace. The ambience, food, staff are all excellent. The palace, its surroundings are awesome and majestic apart from being serene. We tried booking online but couldn't succeed. Upon a few email exchanges and phone calls with Mr. Sanjay Vyas, we were able to get confirmation and upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the reception team when they upgraded us to a much bigger & spacious rooms. Later at check out, Mr. Rajender Singh who mentioned that he has been working at this hotel for a few decades, told us a few anecdotes related to the celebrities who had stayed in the very rooms they had upgraded to us ! Overall, our stay was comfortable and memorable as there was lively Rajasthani folk music and dance performance which we enjoyed with some delicious Rajasthani cuisine. The breakfast spread was excellent and very tasty as well

We were in room 102 adjacent to the inner courtyard. It was very noisy - people sitting talking loudly outside our room until after midnight. Eventually we phoned reception who moved them on. Our sleep was much disturbed. Overall this is a fine property - full marks to the staff member who showed us around and explained its history.

Avoid at all costs! How on earth can this place be a 5 star hotel? The building itself is of course really beautiful BUT ONLY from outside! The check in counter looks like a bus ticket counter and the check in staff is the rudest I have ever seen. The rooms are horrible, very basically decorated and lack basic comfort. The restaurant looks like a canteen. This is DEFINITELY NOT a 5 star hotel! 3 at the very best…

I think it was the first time that we stayed in a ‘palace’. I have no words to express our feeling after a very short overnight stay (only about 15 hours). Right from check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. Though it is a palace converted to a hotel, the behaviour and courtesy of the people would make you feel that it still is a royal palace. Coming to room – a well and appropriately decorated huge room was given – the bathroom itself was larger than a normal hotel room. Every small detail was taken care of, which one can usually expect in Taj hotels. A local cultural group was there to fill the evening time – with their local heritage songs and dance performances – we were engrossed so much that my wife also joined them in dancing. Finally, the dinner and breakfast. Very nice, in short. Overall a unique experience which we would never forget. If we visit Bikaner again, this is the place where we shall stay.
