Five of us stayed here in three rooms for a couple of nights at the end of waking a stage of the Camino del Norte. As several have said, the location is good close to a bridge to cross the river, a short walk from Casco Viejo, and a little downriver from the Guggenheim. So clearly a ton of eating and shopping options steps away. Also on the “right side of town for those coming down the hill on the Camino. Rooms clean and quiet - though with a very odd single pillow the full width of the bed. (Ask and they’ll bring you extra normal pillows.) Decent breakfast. All in all, good value for a good location. Recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights in June. Originally booked a regular room, but upgraded to a room with a view, which put the price in line with a lot of other budget range hotels. The location was perfect - 10/15 min walk to both Casco Viejo and Guggenheim. The view of the city was nice. If I was trying to figure out what made it 2 stars, I would probably say the bedding could have been softer. Everything was adequate. We did not do breakfast at the hotel - instead walked for 10 min to Bertiz bakery each day. The staff was inconsistent - some were friendly, but not all. One of the receptionists kept asking our room number every time we passed by. On our return trip I actually got a better deal at Sercotel Ayala, not far from this hotel, and the room was a bit more upscale, but no view. The Plaza is a fine hotel in a good location.

Clean and friendly small hotel. Rooms are modern and quiet. some one at reception day and night. Breakfast is OK but mostly hams, cured meat and cheese. Orange juice is fresh, coffee has good flavour. WIFI is very good throughout the building.

The room at be back of the hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was generous with lots of choices. The hotel was an easy walk to both the Guggenheim and the old town where there are many great tapas bars.

very good sized room. great value, very comfortable, i slept like a baby. all the staff i met were super friendly, helpful & courteous. i couldn't have asked for a better location for my needs. everywhere o wanted to go was within easy walking distance.

Reasonable pricing considered it is at the center of the city and provided parking. However, parking space is very tight and rooms are very simple though clean. Certain things like shower and sink are not very well maintained. Breakfast area is decorated quite nicely.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location on the bank of the river Nervion that is very close walking distance to many of the main attractions of Bilbao. The room we had was spacious and clean with a nice comfortable bed. It was nice and quiet during the night. The staff we dealt with were all very friendly and professional. If we go back to Bilbao we would book Bilbao Plaza if available.
