Popular Bilbao 4-star Hotels

The hotel is a few steps away from the Guggenheim Museum. It is very convenient to take a walk to the city market and the uphill cable car. The breakfast buffet is relatively good, with hot and cold food. Paid parking in the basement is also convenient. Need to book in advance. The front desk and restaurant waiters are more enthusiastic. A hotel that can be recommended.

The hotel is in a very good location, facing the bridge in the core area of ​​the old city and surrounded by a wide area. The opera house is in front of the left, the riverside park and the church are in front of the right, and the subway hub is next to the church. It is only 1.6 kilometers along the riverside park to the Guggenheim Museum. This section is the most beautiful promenade, and of course the traffic at the door is also very convenient. The hotel room is not big, I was a little worried before, but the layout design is relatively reasonable, so it feels good, but the wall cabinet above the tea place is sharp-cornered, because the space is not big, I hit my head twice. In addition, as a four-diamond hotel, there is no napkin box, which is not used to it. Slippers must be brought by yourself, toothpaste and toothbrush can be asked at the front desk, capsule coffee, tea bags and water can also be asked at the front desk every day if you need them (only one toothbrush cup is provided, but the cup has the charm of urban steel sculptures (see picture). The breakfast variety is small but enough, the restaurant layout and service are good.

We were a family of three and got the studio apartment. We stayed for 5 nights and were overall very happy. The people at reception were extremely helpful and nice, Ingrid - if I remember her name correctly- was especially welcoming. They have 24 hour reception and check in and check out was very smooth and easy. They also reply to WhatsApp messages during working hours. The apartment had everything you needed and good cupboard space, iron, small kitchenette, nice sized bathroom with good lighting, daily cleaning service, comfortable beds, ... The location was a three minute walk from the Zubizuri bridge and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Numerous restaurants and cafes and supermarkets were a minute or two away. I greatly recommend this hotel/apartment especially for families. The only thing I wish could be was a cheaper price. It was a bit pricey but I would go again for sure.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at the at Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia - Great welcome, Our ‘Privilege’ Room on the 7th floor was lovely very spacious with a very comfortable King size bed, large closet with hanging and shelf space and a large safe. There was a minibar with complimentary water 2 still and 1 sparkling, 2 beers and 2 Coca Cola which was replenished every day. There is a coffee machine. Good controllable air conditioning. The Bathroom had a large walk-in shower. There is a nightclub nearby so there is some noise at night so if you are a light sleeper you should ask for a quiet room. Perfect location - The hotel is 15 min stroll to the Guggenheim museum and its about 10 minute walk from the centres of both the old and new towns, there is a Corte Ingles about 10 mins walk away on the main street and the hotel is just a couple of minutes from the river. The Lobby bar is great and the staff are pleasant and helpful and prices are very reasonable – it was lovely sitting outside having a glass of wine. It is very easy to get to from the airport A3247 bus stop, Journey from the airport is about 20 minutes. Great staff All the staff we met were helpful. Reception is on the 3rd Floor. Breakfast is on the 4th floor with good coffee machines and a great fresh orange juice machine. Thank you to all the restaurant and bar staff especially the manager and also Pedro. The housekeeping was efficient, and everything was spotless. There are so many amazing restaurants and bars in Bilbao serving great food – We were lucky enough to be in Bilbao for the start of the festival and we really enjoyed the amazing firework display on Saturday night. We are already looking forward to returning to Bilbao and the Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia.

The hotel is well located and the staff all extremely nice and helpful. My room was of a good size and the bed extremely comfortable, but there was no water in the room or any sort of tea/ coffee making facilities which was disappointing. There is no restaurant in the hotel which came as a complete surprise, though you can order room service from 17:30 to 23:00 but the choice of food on offer is limited and poor. The ‘bar’ is also anything but a bar. It’s a desk with a bell on it. Ring the bell and someone appears, takes your order, disappears, and then comes back with your drink. No restaurant, no bar, and no in room facilities let down what would otherwise have been a pleasant stay.

A pleasant surprise this hotel next to the San Mames stadium, close enough to many points of interest in Bilbao. Very clean and with everything you need in the room and good quality as well. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could want, local specialities, champagne and wine, orange juice freshly squeezed, hot chocolate, a wide range of special teas, home made cookies and pastries, everything so tasty and diverse that it was a very difficult choice. The staff everywhere in the hotel was polite and helpful. Highly recommended for services and quality.

The location is great. In the core of Bilbao New Town, there is a parking lot on one or two streets. The overall decoration of the hotel is simple and warm. It has just been renovated in recent years. However, due to the old facilities of the building, it is inevitable that you can smell some kerosene-like smell in the bathroom. Perfect location overlooking the river (virtually next door to the Conde Duque), a 15 minute walk from the Guggenheim. The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. I went for the B&B option - the buffet breakfast was excellent, including a glass of cava, if that's your thing! The staff were helpful, efficient and friendly seemingly able to switch between Spanish, English and German. As seems to be the norm these days, the rooms have USB points, so UK visitors don't need to bring an adaptor to charge their phones.

I used to go to Milan and live in this brand hotel, the service is good. It takes about a walk to the old town 15-20 minutes. It is very convenient to go to the city center by bus downstairs. About 2-3 Station distance, there are also food and small bars near the hotel. 🔔 Service: The front desk was very intimate and gave the baby a set of baby showers. The front desk also sent the baby a bear. 🧹 Health: The room is large and clean.
