Stayed here 2 nights. We chose this because the hotel has secure parking and on a frequent bus route into the city centre . Room was spacious, clean with old fashioned furniture, tv and basic hospitality tray not even a biscuit, bathroom ok but shower took ages to heat up such a waste of water! Main problem hotel on a busy road with traffic noise ( it was hot when we there so leaving windows open wasn’t an option). Also there is a spotlight on the hotel sign which shone through the thin curtains at night. Breakfast adequate with cereals and cooked option, but there were only 2 of us in the huge dining room and my breakfast order was wrong. There are a few restaurants and a pub around 10 minutes walk and 25 minutes bus ride to Birmingham.

Such a lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived until we left it was delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and Mira was a generous host. Would recommend this hotel to everyone, wishing to save a bit of money and travel into the city centre with the great bus service outside the hotel, as well as a Tesco metro directly opposite.

Absolutely fantastic find, came to Birmingham for a concert, booked this place for 3 mates for 1 night. Had a tripple en-suite room at the front, very clean, recently renovated bathroom. Comfy beds. Great parking at rear, great welcome from the host, clear instructions on how to access the building out of hours. We didnt have brekkie here, so cant comment, but i did go into the dining room & it was very clean & presentable. Tesco metro opposite. £8 in an uber to broad street.

Nothing pretentious at Woodlands, very simple, homely, quaintly old fashioned, large, tasty breakfast and friendly staff. Loads of parking, close to restaurants, pubs etc. Will stay again whenever I’m in Birmingham.

Wonderful position on the busy Hagley Road... with clearly marked Car Park upon approach. Also a roomy Car Park. Given a twin-bed room at the back of the Property: overlooking the woods. Quiet. A little cold upon entrance to the room- but radiator fairly quick response. Old fashioned sitting area - but a FABULOUS Bathroom : fitted with latest safe walk-in shower & circular basin. Very clean. Breakfast would have benefited from EVERYTHING cold being laid out on a separate table - with only the hot option ordered. Very helpful Landlady.

Searched for a hotel conveniently positioned for a wedding evening party. Very pleased with the Woodlands. Scrupulously clean. Friendly, professional, efficient staff. Lovely breakfast. Secure parking at rear. Can't fault it. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet position at the back with good car park Friendly staff and good breakfast. Very clean. Stayed for 2 nights for Commonwealth games and ideal position to get into Birmingham. Reasonable prices not like some other hotels in the city. Would stay again if in Birmingham. Ideal position for cricket up the road.

Stayed here for one night. I was given a choice of two rooms which were clean and very nice. The owner is extremely friendly and really wants to provide a good service. Plenty of parking which is secure at night. A good breakfast and a small bar open in the evenings. Located on a number of bus routes to central Birmingham which is therefore so easy to get to.
