"Beautiful hotel and grounds, well decorated room with everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing, with perfect poached eggs! All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The Lychee Martini was an excellent recommendation too! Obviously, there was some aeroplane noise, but it didn't affect our stay. Would definitely recommend, and we look forward to our next stay!"

"The hotel itself is very dated and basic but absolutely fine for a night stay before or after a flight. Everything was just perfect for us. Cheap and cheerful for our budget. Staff were helpful and check in/ out easy. Ideal location for Stansted airport as it's literally 5 minutes away from the airport carparks. It's at a welcome break area so KFC, burger king and subway onsite."
"We were doing a self driving trip around London and need to take flight in the early morning next day. This Ramada is my personal highly recommended hotel for anyone who is in the similar situation as us.
Check in was really smooth, which is self check right on the reception desk. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room is clean and I could get whatever I need.
The only one unsatisfied point was the strange smell, which I can’t tell where it came."

"The location is a bit far from main road but the property is well situated. A clean building but the hot water didn't work in the bathroom (perhaps there needs to be some manual assistance in getting it operated that's if it works). My TV didn't work as there's a faulty connection. There should be some level of noise control in the building as you hear everyone speaking from within next doors. "
"We checked in around midnight, and when we requested ice, we were told it wasn’t available because the bar was closed. In other hotels, this has never been an issue, even when asking for ice at 3 AM. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable—lumpy and of terrible quality. The ventilation was noisy, making it hard to sleep.
Another downside is the paid airport transfer. The hotel is not within walking distance, and the shuttle costs £4 per person one way for a 6-minute ride. That means for two people, a round trip adds £16 to the cost of your stay. Decide for yourself whether that’s a fair price. It’s not exactly a typical location for an “airport hotel,” yet they still charge for the transfer.
Overall, it’s fine for a quick overnight stay before a flight, but nothing more."

"Great Lodge is close to the airport (58 mins walking or 14 mins by bus). I wanted a place in nature, and I was served : multiple public footpaths and hiking trail (see picture).
The room was clean, spacious and warm. Didn't have soap or conditioner as mentioned, but I didn't need them since I had mine.
Check-in and check-out were easy (a person was at the front desk).
Thank you"

"Hotel is very close to the airport, but note that the hotel shuttle is 4 pounds (what happened to the days of this service being free? 😭).
Staff was a bit of a mixed bag. I was checked in by a rather miserable person, but check-out was polite and friendly.
My room said a king bed, but I don't know if UK bed sizes are different, but it was more like a double. Room appeared clean, but I did find some hairs in the sheets that didn't belong to me and one of my pillows looked a little suspect.
Fine stay for just a night when you need to be near the airport. Vegan options available for meals, although I didn't eat at the hotel."

Very Good
GGuest UserWe (family of 5) stayed in the family room as we had an early flight from Stansted in the morning. We emailed Julie with our arrival time and she had everything prepared for us including an additional camping bed in the room. We were greeted warmly and showed around our and the breakfast room. Julie even went as far to place boy/girl napkins on the table for us which was very sweet. The room itself was lovely - large enough for 5 of us and our luggage. Beds were comfy and we had good hot water and biscuits/hot drinks. The location is perfect for Stansted, it took us less than ten minutes to get to the Mid Stay car park but note that if you're in the Long Stay it's a longer journey. Another advantage is that they will let you park your car on-site for a small fee, and you can then taxi to and from the airport which is only a few minutes (we will definitely do this next time as it's considerably cheaper than the airport car parks). Breakfast was amazing - since we left early we weren't that hungry but they had a huge variety of cereals, bread/crumpets, yoghurts, drinks, cereal bars, cheese, fruit ... the list goes on. Price was also very affordable especially for larger families as we could book a single room vs. having to book two (most places are max. occupancy of four). Many thanks and hope to see you soon!
