We've been to the Castle Hotel on three previous occasions (and, co-incidently, the same room) and have always had a great experience. This time the room mhad recently been upgraded and I found the bed, the most comfortable I've ever had away from home. Staff our always very helpful, and the food would be hard to beat. It was lovely to be able to sit outside in their secluded garden in the afternoon sun after a very pleasant trip to Llandindrod Wells.

We had a wonderful nights stay at The Castle Hotel. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. They recommended a great walk which we did. It has amazing views from the garden and a sheltered patio for those staying at the hotel. We were blessed with glorious weather so made the most of these. Would recommend if looking to stay in the area.

As soon as we walked in through the doors we were made to feel welcome. The hotel was very relaxed and all staff were really friendly. It was great to be able to take the dogs into both breakfast and dinner but there is a dining room where they are not allowed if you don’t like dogs. We were here for the weekend and ate in for breakfast and dinner - food was really good and good sized portions. Can recommend the mushroom omelette! We were in room 2 which had fabulous views over the hills in the distance and was a good sized room to accommodate us and our two spaniels. There is a really large garden with lots of seating which we took advantage of as the weather was excellent during our stay. There are lots of good walks from the hotel and route suggestions are provided by the hotel. We were made to feel very much at home - thank you!

I simply cannot rate this Hotel more highly, we went as a group of ten two legged walking companions and a few four legged. Stacey, Hannah and Meg to name just three of the excellent team who looked after us did all they could and more to ensure that our stay was a memorable one. They were a credit to themselves and the Hotel. Organising our walks, suggesting additions to our stay which we hadn't even thought of, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food and service was top notch and the beer and wine never seemed to stop flowing. We travel extensively and this gem of a Hotel is a stand out for us. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay - no complaints at all . The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable with a nice bathroom . The dining room was lovely for a more formal meal but the bar comfortable too . Food was delicious and service excellent . All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful . The weather was gorgeous so we sat in the large rural garden . The location is great - right in the town ! We will visit again

I saw a special offer for dinner, bed and breakfast, so booked a one night's stay for my husbands birthday. I must say we were pleasantly surprised by the value for money. Our lovely room was on the top floor, (room no 7), with views to the front of the hotel. It was a characterful room, with a walk in wardrobe and beams, everything was provided for. We had a nice table for dinner in the evening and the price included a 3 course menu. The service was attentive and the food delicious, breakfast was equally as good with plenty of choice. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Another wonderful stay at this iconic hotel. At our request we stayed in the twin-bedded attic room with its beams, fabulous views and beautiful furnishing. Good breakfast and delicious dinner. Would rather not eat breakfast with other people's dogs - perhaps we could be asked whether we prefer to eat in the dining room, not the bar. Staff so friendly, helpful and courteous. Thoroughly recommended!

Just returned home after a two night stay with our dogs. We had the courtyard room which was excellent. The food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and professional. We hope to return in the future and shall recommend to our friends
