Excellent homestay to base yourself in if you are exploring the caves or Phong Nha. We arrived and the owner, Linh advised us on the best cave trips to suit us - and helped to arrange all the booking, transport and our onward travels. Thanks to Linh we had an unforgettable 3 days of caves in Phong Nha! She is so generous and kind! The hostel is clean and comfortable. The family dinner is a great vibe, relaxed and a nice chance to chat with travellers and swap stories of where you’ve been. We hired scooters from Next door to the hostel, and used the Cosy Home bicycles, so it was very easy go get around - it is only a short ride into the centre. Highly recommend for a solo or couple traveller.

Best homestay we did in Vietnam! Arrived, saw the breath taking view to the river and immediately decided to stay one night longer. The people here are so friendly and will help you with anything! They provided transfers for as to and from Dong Hoi. They booked a tour for us (the jungle trekking with visits to Golden Cave and E-Cave, which was nice but definitely not for the faint of hearted :D) and even did our laundry (two times because our clothes were very dirty from hiking through the jungle). The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. They are also spacious. We especially enjoyed the riverfront room, because we had a balcony overlooking the river. You can also swim in the river directly from the homestay, which was a big bonus for us! For breakfast they have some meals and drinks, and you can choose one of each. We tried several during our stay and they were all delicious. Location is also very good. You have a lot of nice restaurants and bars in walking distance, or you can just choose to drink and eat at the homestay. It was a lovely experience for us. So affordable and amazing what you get for the price. 10/10, definitely recommend!

We loved it here. Yen was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We hired a motorbike, we organised a fantastic adventure tour, we did our laundry and Yen sorted it all out for us. She also fed us and provided us with beer! She made our stay here seamless.

I stayed here since 23-26/6 and I have the following comments: I stayed at the highest room class but no wellcome drink The location of my room is great, but there are too few power sockets in the room, 2 places at the head of the bed are used to plug the lights, the location behind the TV is also closed, only 1 location at the desk and covered by the table is very difficult to plug, the room class is the highest but there is no bathtub Bath. The advantages here: the staff is really enthusiastic, hard and polite, the beach is beautiful, private, the bath in the morning is safer and more pleasant than the afternoon bath, professional lifeguard and care about guests, The resort has many swimming pools and good water temperature for children as well as safe for children. Green and large space is a big advantage. Get shuttle on the resort campus is very fast by tram. The disadvantage is that in addition to the first part, there are: the quality of breakfast is not good, the dining room space is simple, the table is too much, the cafe has too little drinks. The location is quite far from the center, going to eat or explore will be a bit difficult because the weather is really hot, the restaurant and restaurant mainly open in the evening.

The most perfect stay with the most perfect family! We couldn’t of wished for a better stay, the room was perfect - so clean, spacious and the private balcony made it feel that extra special! The pool was amazing and the views from your balcony and the pool area are incredible! There are no words good enough to describe the family who run this property. They are so kind, caring and extremely generous. Every morning they seem so happy to see you and every evening they ask how your day has been. Upon our departure we were kindly escorted up to the bus stop by the family but unfortunately, by accident, missed our bus. The next bus wasn’t due for another 12-14 hours and the family let us stay with them and have our room back for the day with no charge! They offered us lunch with their family too with no charge and again walked with us to the bus stop later that evening to make sure we were safe and to wish us goodbye. Just perfect all round.

A pure vacation feeling! That is how I would best describe our stay at Funny Monkey's Homestay. The three women running the place did an excellent job and provided us a service worthy of a luxury hotel! The view from the terrace was absolutely fantastic and we spent much time drinking delicious homemade coffee and eating local food. Other amenities on site include kayaks for going out on the river and transfers to the centre of the city. We could also without a problem leave our bags there after check out. Would definitely recommend this homestay for people who want to enjoy some quiet time next to the river!

I stayed here for one night and the place is very relaxed and has everything a solo traveler needs. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and helped me book a bus to Hanoi. She also let me shower and wait for my bus after I checked out, went to the caves and boat tour, and then came back to the hotel. Highly recommend :)
