Oasis Bluff Beach

What a gem! This was the perfect stay for a relaxing beach vacation. The room, restaurant, beach, and most of all the staff was lovely! It is a small hotel, I do not think there would ever be more than 20 guests at a time. Your room is steps from the beach. We stayed in the Jungle King room. It was nicely appointed with air conditioning which was nice at night, it is tucked behind the kitchen. We were afraid we would be woken up early by kitchen prep but were pleasantly surprised noise did not carry and we slept in most morning. We ate every meal at the View, the on site restaurant. The food and drinks were lovely and very reasonably priced. They had different specials daily so it was lovely to get to try different food. Every day they brought out loungers for us to sit on the beach. It is a VERY wavy beach so you cannot swim but can wade in and cool off. It was a blast watching all the surfers, it is a destination beach for surfers. The sand was pristine and the beach was so calm with very few people. We went on the nature hike which was great as the guide picked us up from the hotel and it was around a 3 mile hike. We saw sloths, birds, monkeys, frogs, and learned so much about the jungle biology. As others mentioned the road to the hotel the last 10 minutes of the drive is very bumpy, we never left the resort but if you want to do all the activities it might be better to stay closer to town. If you are looking to relax or surf, this is the best location to arrive and stay. Everything you need is right at the Oasis! Cozy/ best food on the island/ location fabulous/ Choy was amazing with everything. A place like no other were from my bed I saw sloths, butterflies and monkeys. Where the food is amazing, and the view one of a kind. Everyone on this property gave us a vacation to remember and we will be back

We had a fantastic stay at Oasis Bluff for 4 nights. The rooms are really smart with quirky touches. The location is fab as it’s just a stones throw away from the beach which is beautiful. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful especially Paul and Troy. We were ill when we were there from the previous place on our trip and they were very caring and concerned. Food was delicious. Can highly recommend this place.

We had a fabulous trip to Bocas del Toro. Oasis was the perfect spot for us. The staff was extremely kind, welcoming, helpful and friendly. We loved every minute of our time there. Oasis is a lovely boutique hotel on Bluff Beach. We had a room that looked over the ocean. We fell asleep each night listening to the waves. Thank you to Elias, Choy, Alex, Jonathan, Hector, Karina, and Jose. I’m sorry if I missed anyone. The owner, Paul has done an excellent job and we wish him continued success. We also loved Mahi the hotel’s mascot. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant. The menu changes daily and the restaurant and bartending staff are top notch. Breakfast is included and we started each day with fresh fruit, a smoothie, yogurt and entrees of our choice. Elias and Choy helped us plan 2 great excursions during our stay. If you decide to plan a trip to Oasis please keep in mind a few things. This is a small boutique hotel surrounded by beach and jungle. This is not an all inclusive luxury resort! You will receive top notch service but if you are looking for the Ritz then this isn’t for you. The road to get to Oasis is not paved and can be a bit of a rough ride. However it is well worth it. The beach is gorgeous and at times we were the only people on it. Make sure to bring cash to pay for taxi rides and excursions. The hotel does accept credit cards. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I spent 7 nights at this beautiful hotel and loved every minute of it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, Elias and his team went above and beyond to make a milestone birthday celebration one I will never forget. The new owner's brother Michael and his lovely girlfriend Alexandra stepped in to help run the resort while he was out, and they handled the task like seasoned professionals. The View restaurant offered a varied nightly dinner menu, and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Yellowfin tuna and mahi mahi, absolutely amazing. Specialty drinks were made perfectly, and they have the coldest cervesa in town! Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the balcony provided the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Steps away from the beach, the sound of crashing waves lull you to sleep. Hummingbirds fluttered about all around the property, sloths hanging out in the trees and daily visits from howler monkeys were a treat! I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel if you're planning a trip to Bocas. We look forward to returning for another adventure in this piece if paradise!

I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves one. The warm and welcoming hospitality and secluded location across from a surf beach are fantastic if you want to relax. Bluff is one of my favourite beaches in Bocas. (And I’m Aussie so I know my beaches). Don’t miss sunrise - the long beach is perfect for a morning stroll. As it was rather quiet when I checked in, I was generously upgraded to the Jungle room on the second floor. Two litres of water in the room were replenished daily. There’s air con and a fan to keep you cool. There’s a swimming pool next door that you’re able to use (the owners bought that place). There are pool tables and other games on the ground floor to keep you entertained on rainy days. There’s a collectivo that runs a few times a day from town (leaving the park at 8am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm during rainy season or at least during my stay). It’s $3.50 or a can is $15. Bike rentals could be something to consider - I would have loved the option to take one into town or down the Jungle hwy to La Piscina. What everyone says about the food is true - the cooks know what they’re doing. I ate some variation of the mahi mahi for all three dinners because it was just so darn delicious. Breakfast was so filling that I only needed a light lunch. On my last morning, I had an early departure and the kitchen kindly made me a sandwich for the road. All the staff learned my name, and showed genuine interest in ensuring I had the best stay possible. If I ever return to Bocas, I won’t stay anywhere else.
