Excellent and exciting stay. Luxurious surroundings and such history…wish we could have stayed longer. Very helpful and friendly staff enhanced the stay as well as being informative of the surroundings. Hope we can visit again soon.

We stayed for one night but wished we had booked two. The staff were very polite and friendly, the room was spotless with complimentary drinks, and the breakfast was excellent. A really special place!

We were sentenced for one night at the Bodmin Jail.
The wardens were very friendly and our cell was luxurious.
After a good night sleep- no screaming
We had a very delicious breakfast.
I guess a more pleasant stay than as a real prisoner ever had

The hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone.
Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience.
We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to.
Breakfast was good and would recommend it.

Really fantastic place to stay. Pricey but worth it as a treat. Very clean and new. Good food and service. Very quiet and conversational novelty. Get one of the guided tours. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Amazing Place
What a brilliant hotel, converted Jail with pristine decor and top quality staff. Definitely worth staying there is you're in the area, only a fewiles drive from Eden Project.
