—Arrival— You start off with a lovely welcome and orientation from Marcia, who is the go-to for all your needs. She is so genuinely warm, confident, and professional, and does a great job of introducing you to what the lodge has to offer. —The Lodge and Room— The lodge itself is stunning and has a traditional feel with great facilities, including a pool and lovely common areas. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. On top of that were details like a comfortable bed, room safe, both an outdoor and indoor shower plus a separate bath, a tea and coffee station, privacy thanks to the blinds and lodge layout, and fantastic aircon for hot afternoons. To top off all the room amenities, there was also a complementary daily laundry service. In summary, we had everything we could possibly need during our stay. —Itinerary— The daily program is excellent and gives the day structure with just enough flexibility. There’s exactly the right balance between downtime, safari time, and mealtimes. —Shared Spaces— The lodge can only house a maximum of 10 guests per night, so there’s never an intimidating number of people, and there is no pressure to be social if that’s not your thing. That said, we had great fellow guests and staff and such a well-structured day that even as an introvert I really enjoyed the time we spent laughing, sharing photos and chatting without ever feeling that I had to. —Food— Edith and BK are EXCEPTIONAL chefs, and Edith’s home-baked sweet treats are insane. The menu changes daily and is displayed at the communal tea and coffee station so you can get excited about the day’s upcoming meals first thing in the morning. At no stage during your stay will you be overly hungry or without something delicious to eat. —Housekeeping— The housekeeping staff are like ninjas. You never see them, but you know they’ve been because your room is always perfectly clean. Subtle changes like the blinds being lowered at night, your bed being turned down, fudge appearing on your pillow, fresh towels arriving, washing being collected and returned perfectly clean and folded, plus other unique touches seem to magically occur and make you feel extremely spoilt and special. —Guide and Drives— Martin the safari guide is a freak (in the best way!). He is so experienced and knowledgeable about just about every topic. The drives we went on were very successful and he could answer every question we asked him, along with being patient with us when we probably asked the same question multiple times. If we asked stupid questions (which I can almost guarantee we did), he never came across as judgmental. He keeps his safari vehicle spotless and comfortably stocked with water, blankets, and fleece-lined ponchos so you’ll never be cold. He’s an excellent, safe driver and has an amazing ability to track animals, predict their behavior, and spot them in the park. Tambuti Lodge is truly an incredible experience. From the moment we entered the space, we were greeted with genuine, welcoming, and friendly hospitality as if we had always been part of the Tambuti family. The rooms are all spacious and beautiful with each themed after individual animals. We traveled with 3 couples for a wedding. We were also celebrating a birthday and anniversary which staff went above and beyond to accommodate with luxurious salt water baths and champagne in the rooms. WE LOVE MARCIA! The chefs are also PHENOMENAL. They graciously accommodated multiple complex food allergies and served us the most delicious dinners including springbok and oxtail stew, which we ate poolside, under the clear night sky full of stars. There's a high tea every afternoon that includes delicious appetizers, fresh-squeezed juices, and alcoholic beverages personally presented by the extraordinary chefs. Then, there's the iconic safari guides. We had Martin and Sean who are both incredibly knowledgeable of the South African wildlife. They are undeniably intelligent biologists/zoologists while simultaneously being excellent, personable hosts! We saw and learned about elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, warthogs, crocodiles, steenbok, lions, buffalo, and more. This is an authentic South African trip we will never forget that was worth every rand. Thank you all so much for the unparalleled hospitality. Appreciate you!

We had the most unbelievable stay at Tambuti Lodge. From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon stay, it was amazing. The staff were so attentive and couldn't do more to make our stay so special. The room was beautiful, as was the entire lodge. The food throughout our stay was out of this world, the chef crafted a unique menu everyday which was absolutely delicious, there was not one thing that was not 5 stars. The safari was also incredible, we saw the big 5, plus more, with our guide, Martin, who made every drive so fun and informative. I would recommend this to everyone as you will have an incredible time! We can't wait to come back soon.

OMG….words cannot describe this place! It simply has to be seen to be believed! The staff, the rooms, the food….5 stars is not enough! Amazing game drives too & memories that will be cherished forever. Thank you Tambuti xx

Tambuti Lodge is the most amazing place that I have ever been. The Lodge itself is not only luxurious, but the service is absolutely out of this world. There is nothing that is too much trouble for the friendly and accommodating staff. The food is excellent and plentiful and the available included bar is extensive with an impressive list of wine options. But as magnificent as the Lodge is, the wildlife that we were able to observe with our guide was 100% bucket list worthy. We were able to see all 5 of the big 5, but more than that we had really up close encounters with the animals. We had giraffes and zebra cross the road only metres ahead of us, were able to see rhinos (including a baby rhino) right by the edge of the road, and we had the most amazing experience of a herd of elephants crossing the road either side of the vehicle closer than I could ever have imagined. On our final day, we got to see the big cats, with two large male lions and leopard cubs playing in a tree. Our guide went out of his way to make sure that we saw everything we possibly could. Staying at Tambuti was a once in a lifetime experience. Although I hope I can make it a twice in a lifetime experience and return one day. I am taking with me very special memories that I will never forget.
