Iwamanzi Game Lodge

Staying at Iwamanzi is an incredible experience like no other. The accommodations, food, service, game drives and hospitality are outstanding. Jaqueline and Stan Burger make you feel at home at their beautiful lodge. JP was our guide on the game drives. He is very knowledgeable of the animals as well as the flora. We all loved our sundowners, our numerous drives and especially the walkabouts he took us around their reserve. This is a bucket list trip of a lifetime! You are guaranteed to see so many animals, including the Rhinos. The attention to detail is incredible. We were celebrating our 60th birthdays and not only did they have a birthday cake for us the first night we had dinner at the lodge, but there was also a very special menu designed specifically for us every night during our stay. Food was delicious, all meals were prepared by their staff and every night they were spectacular, accompanied by delicious south African wines. Make sure you visit the Elephant sanctuary, you get very close and personal with the Elephants, a very memorable experience. We highly recommend visiting Iwamanzi, you won't regret it! You will be treated like kings and queens. We hope one day to return to this special place. The friendliest people on the planet by far. We felt at home from the moment we arrived until our last sundowner! Food was amazing and unforgettable. Waking up each morning to see all of the animals gathered around the lodge during our breakfast each morning was simply surreal.

We had such a wonderful time at the lodge. Could not have wished for a better experience. Stan and Jacqueline and their team were wonderful hosts. The food (and wine) was excellent and very varied. The game drives were always interesting and full of surprises. The only disappointment was that we did not catch more fish when we went fishing :) Highly recommended.

Iwamanzi, in one word: WOW! We had the most incredible time from the moment we arrived. Jacqueline's warm and welcoming nature made us feel right at home. Her husband Stan and their son Sebastian possess an immense wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and the African bush. The privately owned landscape is absolutely breathtaking, showcasing nature's wonders at every turn. The abundance of diverse wildlife provided us with endless opportunities to track and observe magnificent animals. It was an experience like no other. We are already planning our return in the near future! Iwamanzi Game Lodge is more than a get away! It’s Jacqueline and Stan welcoming you in as one of their own. The rooms to the food to the game drives is exceptional at every turn. The staff is by far the friendliest and most assertive than anywhere that I have ever visited. Iwamanzi is a place for a great escape. A place where you can sit and stare off to the beautiful sunsets, get a taste of nature and animal life. A place that allows you to take a breath and search your mind. It’s a place that puts your mind frame back on track for the real world so that when you go back home you can appreciate what you have instead of taking things for granted. Iwamanzi is a home away from home. As time goes on you start thinking of every family member or people that you have ever met who would love it here. Iwamanzi is a hidden paradise that will stay close to my heart for the rest of my life.

Iwamanzi offers an African experience that is transformational. It is difficult to explain fully in writing and needs to be experienced, From our first interaction, the planning support offered by Jacqueline to , the one to recommend to friends ( only wish I had a few more days to wind down from work to be more relaxed). The attention to detail at the lodge was special, the presentation, fantastic food and care so evident and especially on the vegan support and family style…everyone was helpful. I loved the game lands and education from JP, especially the walks which Botswana does not offer….the outdoor life is in my Irish roots. Overall an amazing experience, my thanks to you and Stan for what you have created!! If I can recommend something to improve it would only be the WiFi….there are two sides to this- I loved that our boys were off it and their devices to get the experience. For me it meant I needed to go back to the lodge after it was closed at night and sit outside to complete my e-mail responses as the WiFi did not reach the rooms.
