Staff that really do not want to serve you or be nice. The location is nice, the room was clean. Ask for a parking notice because you need one, but the staff will not give it to you without you asking for it. At breakfast the coffee did not taste good at all. Seemed to strong and “old”.

Wir waren im Hotel Essen. Wir haben uns für Wildragout entschieden und ich muss sagen, dass es das schlechteste Wildgericht war, dass ich je gegessen habe. Total sehnig und knorbelig, wirklich nicht gut. Nicht zu empfehlen. Bedienung war sehr nett.

Sehr nettes und schönes Hotel. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon mit Blick auf die Sauer. Das Hotel wird von der Familie Hauer betrieben. Alle waren sehr nett. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und angenehm überrascht als wir das Jahresende - und anfang hier verbracht haben. Das Hotel hat auch ein interessantes Valentinsangebot.

Neem geen kamer met balkom om het uitzicht op de rivier te hebben, want je wordt vanaf 5 uur 's morgens gewekt door het verkeer (veel vrachtwagens en bestelwagens) dat passeert op de weg tussen hotel en rivier. Een kamer achteraan (zonder balkon) biedt een betere nachtrust. De kamer is redelijk ouderwets met bruin sanitair en een zeer hoge opstap in de douche. Onthaal en bediening zijn vriendelijk. Ontbijtbuffet is basic met broodjes, geroosterd brood, roerei (gen spek of worstje), 3 soorten kaas en wat charcuterie, yoghurt en fruit. Geen variatie gedurende drie dagen. Mini glaasjes voor fruitsap mochten wat groter zijn, zijn bijna schnaps glaasjes. Positief is het gebruik van de parking tegenover het hotel, er is altijd plaats.

Gute Zimmer, sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Restaurant, nach der Flut wieder schön restauriert, bietet "gutbürgerliche Küche". Die Lage bietet einen schönen Blick auf die Sauer. Und hier ist auch die kleine Schwäche zu sehen. Direkt am Hotel führt eine viel befahrene Straße vorbei. Autos, Lkws usw. fahren ca 2m an der Terasse vorbei und erzeugen schon ordentlich Lärm. In den zur Straße liegenden Zimmern sollte man nachts die Fenster geschlossen halten.

Wij genoten van een late lunch in dit charmante hotel/restaurant. De tosti’s waren lekker, de salade was heerlijk verzorgd en de rabarbercake om duimen en vingers af te lekken. Al het personeel is erg vriendelijk. De zaak was bovendien erg proper. Aanrader!
