The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room itself was very tired and had a few areas that needed attention I.e. the shower head sprayed everywhere and there was no hand wash left in the bathroom. The main problem we had however was with noise and security! The walls are so thin you can hear people talking. Someone also tried to get into our room using a key but failed but then at around 1am, a guest entered out room via an adjoining room! She apologised and left very quickly but that left me on high alert all night so got very little sleep! Not sure I’d stay in a Days Inn again!

I have used this place a few times for groups. This time they really fell short. There is no one in charge. Very difficult to speak to a manager.
Issues with the restaurant. Short staffed. Food was too salty. Soya sauce based dishes were not edible. No one asked when sent back unfinished if there was an issue. Only robots delivering food and very inexperience staff. Couldn't order more drinks in good time. Breakfast is buffet and is very basic. Ok. It is clean. However, for £250 a room I think that it is overpriced. Thank goodness for Trip.com much better rate 2 days before the event. Baths do not drain. Taps and fittings are loose or not finished properly.
Poor customer service overall, despite having 5 rooms in our group and dinner for 10. Said they would call me back. Which they have not. That was after speaking to a man who said that he was not the manager, had only worked there for 8 weeks, yet told me that I was not familiar with the service industries! Such a shame. Will have to find somewhere else next time. Not a hint of a smile or an apology or anything to say that he would feed back. 🤷

The manager at this IBIS was a genuine 5-Star success. He was professional, courteous, focussed and helpful. Having stayed in numerous 5-Star hotels in Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai in the past 20 years (and trained staff at several hotels including Hyatt and Hilton), this guy would easily fit in with any one of them. Ample parking. Sheffield is a bit misleading it's a 30min drive. It's southbound but only a short drive to turn onto northbound. Reception helpful and friendly 24hr. Free parking, rooms clean and beds comfy. Shower and bath work well. A decent place for a night stopover.

Worst night I’ve had in a hotel for years door’s banging nearly all night constantly noisy people obviously not working people. Seriously considering swapping hotels for next visit can’t risk that again

CChau yuiThe location is very convenient. We arrived at London Heathrow Airport in the evening and then took the bus to York. This location takes about 3 hours from London. It is very convenient to have a rest and sleep next to the highway and then drive up in the morning.
The hotel environment is very good, clean, free parking, breakfast is OK, and the price is very attractive.
