Be careful when choosing this hotel!!!
Please note that the hotel has different rooms and all the super enthusiastic reviews concern the large suites with a sea view!
All other rooms have some nuance that may spoil your impression and rest, if this is important to you.
The rooms on the first floor have windows facing the wall-fence, the rooms are quite dark, even in the middle of the sunniest day! A little damp and there is practically no fresh air, it is difficult and unpleasant to ventilate such a room, you do not want to open the window, because there is dirt under it and rats and insects are running.
I understand that this is Asia, this happens, but in the description of the rooms there is not a word about the fact that the view is limited or has nuances, all the photos are taken with closed blinds and windows that do not open. Perhaps this is not important to everyone, but it is worth warning about this.
The only plus from this wall is perhaps the silence! But you wake up as if in a crypt, there is nowhere to dry things.
We asked to be moved to a room on the second floor, with great difficulty after 3 days we were moved, the rooms on the second floor are a little better, but instead of a wall you have the windows of the neighboring hotel and people in it, plus the sounds of music. However, we were much more comfortable this way, because it was quite light and you could sleep with the window open.
Plus on the second floor there are tables and chairs where you can dry your clothes.
"Pros"
The beach and location are really gorgeous, there are many palm trees and trees on the beach creating shade, there are no boats and you can swim safely.
The hotel is next to Angola Road, where tricycles arrive. Station 3 - where it is quiet and calm, very few people and excursion sellers, there are cafes and shops, the music does not pound until the night.
Debbie works at the reception, she is wonderful! She will help you with all your questions. Thank you very much to her for helping with the relocation!
The hotel gives out beach towels, there are breakfasts, although modest, but very tasty. You can also order something extra for breakfast for a small fee, everything is very tasty!
In the rooms, if you do not take into account the view, everything is fine, freshly renovated, clean, cozy, good plumbing, towels, hot water, air conditioning, wardrobe, table.
"Cons"
-View from the windows on the wall or the neighboring hotel, unless you have suites by the sea.
-No refrigerator in the room
-Terrible WiFi!
If you planned to work while staying at this hotel, then you will not be able to! The Internet is slow, it disconnects all the time, even with a full signal, Instagram and social networks sometimes do not load.
And the most disgusting thing is the hotel administration (DO NOT confuse with the hotel employees on site), we are talking about employees who sit somewhere in some office and accept applications for reservations from aggregators, for three days these employees ignored the decision on the issue of relocation or partial cancellation, did not answer calls and letters, did not resolve the issue in any way and dragged out time. If it weren't for Debbie, who was able to help with the relocation despite the fact that it wasn't her area of responsibility, I suppose the administration would have simply waited until the departure date.
