Good fof value of money snd variety kind of breakfast menu. Would recommfnd strongly

The hotel is close to supermarkets and restaurants. The bathroom could be improved though. There js a jacuzzi but it is somewhat broken. Staff were friendly enough. The views from the hotel are very nice.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our holiday, as it was a convenient 60 minutes from Reykjavik, (90 minutes Keflavik) I emailed beforehand and requested a ground floor room, which we were given. The rooms in the main building were small, and very basic. Very little storage space, and the shower didn't have a closing door. I was a little disappointed when we first arrived, but soon accepted it. The beds were comfortable, and it was handy to be able to reverse the car right up to the door for packing up the car in the rain, and also we were able to walk to the breakfast area without getting wet. The people coming from the cabins were coming in quite wet. It was useful to be able to make a tea or coffee at any time, and we felt there was a good selection at breakfast. The staff were very good, replacing items as soon as needed. The beach was a short walk away, and we saw a beautiful sunset. The hot tub area was very good, with a hot room and a sauna. On our last night the manager knocked on our door to say we could view the Northern Lights, which was a lovely end to our holiday.

No…toiletries/shampoo or conditioner/hair dryer/tissues/toilet paper holder or block out blinds or curtains. In no way did the photographs on websites reflect what was presented to us on arrival. I was also asked had I paid the correct tariff to enable me to have a cup of tea or coffee from the so-called lobby. Added to this, the breakfast was the worst that we have had in Iceland. Overall just appalling accommodation for price paid!

Stayed here for 4 days in the private suite with our own washroom. Located outside of any city and away from light pollution made ideal conditions to see the Northern light. Staff was great, friendly and helpful with questions about the area. 5 min drive into a small town was great when we needed something, shopping or food. On site geothermal hot-tub was awesome. Rooms were very comfy. With views of either the mountains or the ocean. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. 2 thumbs up.

Don't let the fact that this hotel is listed as a one star hotel put you off, I have stayed in 5 star hotels that are not as clean or welcoming. On arrival we received a friendly greeting, and although we were early we were able to go to our room. Although the rooms are not be biggest or packed with modern facilities, we again didn't need that. Who needs a TV when you have such stunning places to visit outside. As above the room was clean the beds were combatable, I asked for and received an extra pillow with no issues. The hotel is located close to the shops so provisions are not an issue and food can be cooked in the dining room, if you wish. We were there in off season so breakfast was not being served but a simple breakfast was provided in the mornings tea, coffee and hot chocolate all day. The sauna and hot tub were a great place to watch the northern lights. After a couple of days we were moved to a sea facing cabin, as we were staying a week again this was very clean and had the addition of a small kitchen and dining area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily go back there.
