La Genzianella Bormio

My second time staying at La Genzianella, and I plan to come back again. Accomodating for our snowboarding gear with great storage and easy exits and entries. The lobby was cozy and homey, the staff were helpful and kind, the food was ALWAYS beyond amazing, the spa was luxurious and clean and relaxing. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to return for the third time!

The warm, high end/quality rooms and hotel are only bettered by the staff and family that look after you during your stay. We were always greeted with a smile and genuine interest to make our stay the best it could be. The new spa facility for guests is an incredible way to relax and unwind after a day of activity and there's a reason that the hotel restaurant is rated one of the best in Bormio. Fantastic genuine Italian cuisine in abundance! It's a short 5 minute walk to the ski hire and gondola, 10 minutes into the town centre, with views of the ski fields and mountain. We've been in both, summer and winter, and both seasons allow the town and hotel to shine. Highly recommended.

I’ve now stayed at this hotel 6 or 7 times, and it gets better each time. The family who run it and their hand picked staff are excellent and lovely; food and wine superb and the new spa is great. Very comfortable bar area and nice rooms. Very good location for skiing and walking into the pretty town of Bormio. Will be back again!

We had a wonderful stay over the New Year 24/25. The hotel and staff were always warm and welcoming. We took the half board option and the food was always delicious with a small but excellent range of options. Would definitely recommend and return.

We stayed here with a group of 6 people on a mountain bike trip. Property is amazing! Spa is accessible anytime, daily laundry service, beautiful lobby and lawn with bar service so you can meet your group for cocktail/wine before dinner. The nicest staff! Coming from USA, the rooms are tight and the showers are small - totally normal and lovely for European rooms, but Americans not used to European travel should be aware. Comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms and nice balcony. Highly recommend staying here.

An overall 5 star experience. The attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel is impeccable. This is a family run business and there is always an owner (and often more) present at the hotel ensuring that the highest level of service is delivered. The food was fresh and delicious with many salad bar and dessert options. Local wines are offered so be sure to support the local wineries. The rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable. The grounds, building, furniture and finishes were lovingly maintained an everything felt so perfect. We stayed in unit 101 and loved the deck and the views and the easy stair access from the ground floor. The breakfasts were outstanding and there are 2 coffee machines so you don't have to wait around for people to get their coffees which I appreciated. Be sure to partake of the local butter selections and the jams. Yum! This hotel caters to cyclists and I was there with a group of cyclists. There is a fantastic locked bike room to keep your bike babies safe along with all types of tools to fix your bike and a hose to wash it. There is even a kit washing service daily so you can have clean kits from the epic bike rides around Bormio. Your riding mates will appreciate that. Other subtle details are scent machines in different corners that make the lobby smell amazing. The spa is new and gorgeous - I loved the dry sauna while my husband sat in the steam room. There is also a room where you can stretch or workout. We got massages while there and the therapist was certainly trained on how to massage sore cyclist legs. The lawn is perfect and I spent hours sitting outside in the sun. Maybe the best part was the staff who were the most hardworking and dedicated hospitality staff I have ever experienced. Patricia kept my wine orders coming and the rest of the staff (whose names I negligently didn't get) anticipated our every need and were kind and gracious. You never felt like you were bothering anyone with a request - they were so happy to help. I can't wait to go back to Bormio (love that town) and this is where I would stay again and again.
