Welcome to Lake City! Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This three-bedroom, three-bathroom home sits in a secluded neighborhood just a few minutes from downtown Lake City. Escape the buzz of the highway and bustle of downtown while still being within walking distance of the many amenities our little town has to offer. This is a new listing, and the first time this home has been used as a rental. The property recently underwent some renovations. PLEASE don't hesitate to reach out via text about anything concerning the home. This home used to be the old bait shop out at Lake San Cristobal. In 2008, it was moved from that location to where it sits on Victorian Dr. The original structure consisted of the main upstairs living space, two bedrooms, and one bathroom. The master and on-suite, as well as the full finished basement were all new additions. As an older home in the mountains, we do not have central air. In the summer, you can achieve a relatively cool home by opening windows at night and shutting them in the morning before the heat of the day. Keeping the exterior doors shut throughout the day helps maintain the temperature. There are also several curtains and shades which can be drawn depending on what side of the house the sun is on. The basement stays consistently cool throughout summer. All three bedrooms are located on the main floor, all adjoining the main living room. There is direct outdoor access to the back yard and rear driveway from the master bedroom. The master bed has a king bed, master on-suite with jacuzzi tub, dual sinks, and two closets. One guest bedroom has a full bed and small open closet. The second guest bed has a full xl over queen size bunk bed, and small open closet. There are wall mounted, flip up/down end-tables for the inside sleepers on the upper and lower bunks, and attachable clip-on end-tables for the outside sleepers (located in the closet if desired). All bedrooms have ceiling fans and heat, and all bedding is provided. There is a second bathroom on the main floor located off the living room, which has a stand-up shower. Unfortunately, in that shower, the original builders reversed the polarities of the water (hot=cold) so beware! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, baking, and dining. There is a gas stove/oven, dishwasher (pods provided), microwave, hands-free trash can, and a double door fridge with bottom freezer including ice maker. Lake City has wonderful drinking water, so there is no need for filtered water. Small appliances are also provided. Ground coffee and sweetener is provided in canisters next to the coffee maker. There is a grinder, filters, and teapot in the upper cabinet. On switch is on right side of coffee maker. Wine glasses can be found in the globe near the bedrooms. Additional bar equipment is in the downstairs kitchenette, in the cabinets above the sink. All bathrooms come equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and blow dryers. Towels are provided for every guest. Please do not use the bath towels or dish towels as rags. You can find rags in the downstairs laundry room. There is a trunk in the downstairs living room which contains a queen double tall air bed, and all necessary bedding. All trash MUST be bagged and tied before placing the green bear-proof can outside, and the can MUST REMAIN LOCKED AT ALL TIMES! Help keep Lake City's bears safe. The TV downstairs can access Netflix and other streaming applications, but you will require your own log in. Heads up, the Wi-fi as well as cell service can slow drastically during peak summertime in Lake City. Scan the QR code on the counter to automatically connect to the wi-fi, or manually look for Network: Victorian Drive House/Password: forward2. There is a wood burning stove located on the first floor, guests must purchase wood in town if using. Please ensure the flue is open (rod on left side is pulled out) before lighting. The basement of the home is a walkout through the laundry room. On that level, there is another full bathroom complete with a deep tub, as well as a small kitchenette counter and sink, and a utility sink in the laundry room for cleaning any muddy mountain gear. Laundry is front loading, some ALL free and clear pods are provided, dryer sheets, stain remover, wrinkle releaser, iron and board provided. The downstairs living room has reclining furniture, a 75" smart tv (which you can log into your personal streaming services through), fitness equipment, and a trunk with a queen sized, double tall air bed, as well as all bedding necessary, and a propane Rinnai heater. There is a small backyard, shaded second story front porch, and there is a combo charcoal/propane grill on the property. Charcoal can be purchased from local stores; one full propane tank will be provided for guest use. There is no guest access to the garage, and there is a hot tub outside of the master bedroom which unfortunately could not be wired into the home as of now, or for the foreseeable future, so that is not accessible for guests. Electricians are few and far between in our little town, but we hope to have it up and running by next vacation season! We are debating painting the exterior of the home, so there are a few random paint samples on the siding. Please look past that as we are looking to improve the future aesthetics of the property. I am a year-round Lake City local, so I am generally available to address anything that should arise regarding the home during your stay. In addition, if you have any local questions about activities or recommendations, feel free to reach out!
