A very comfortable clean and spacious suite with a balcony view to the lake. Everything was as described and the owners were helpful and attentive. We will definitely go back.

Is this a racist hotel? Due to some schedule problems, I could not arrive at the hotel very early, but I drove as fast as possible on the way from Edinburgh. Most importantly, I called the hotel twice in advance, explaining that I would arrive at 11:30 to check in, and the hotel said that he would wait for my arrival. However, when I arrived at 11:30, the landlord came out and scolded us and told us that the reservation had been canceled, and his attitude was very, very bad. There were two middle-aged men in total, their expressions were very fierce, and they treated us with a very bad attitude after the trip. As a young girl, it was difficult not to be afraid when facing such a scene in a foreign country. As the hotel did not inform us of the cancellation in advance, and only on short notice after we arrived, where the humanitarian was, it was hard not to suspect that they were racist towards us. The last-minute cancellation left me with nowhere to go for a night in Windermere, and I really don't recommend booking this hotel unless you want a scary, racist experience on your trip.

Very rubbish hotel. The hotel owner is very unfriendly and does not accept children. The hotel is a private property with a narrow foyer and narrow and steep stairs. And you must be careful when booking this hotel. The so-called pre-authorization guarantee and then paying after check-in are empty words. The boss usually deducts the room fee in advance, and then you can’t live in it and he doesn’t like it and won’t let you stay or give you a refund.

1. The hotel is in a very good location. It is only a 10-minute walk to the cruise pier. There are many restaurants nearby, and accommodation and meals are very convenient. The room is large, and there is a living room, which is unexpected, but the living room is next to the bed, next to the street, it is a bit noisy in the morning and evening, especially in the UK where the speed of the car is generally faster, so pay attention. Breakfast is bread, yogurt, cereal, milk, etc. prepared in advance. Some are in the refrigerator and some are in the locker. Don't expect too much. 2. If you come by car, ask the front desk for a parking card. It is 3 pounds per day and has unlimited parking. There are several places to park, which is actually very convenient. When you leave, you can drive in the parking lot first, and when you come back, just leave your keys and parking card at the front desk.

Wow, so impressed! In an absolutely perfect location, the place is spotless and has a touch of class.. We were met on arrival by Martin who was the perfect host, very friendly and customer focussed. The room was just perfect, a lovely lounge area and a tastefully decorated bedroom, we felt we just wanted to stay in! The view at the back, was of the lake and at the front you look out onto the street, both lovely views. It was like home from home, a brilliant little touch is that fresh milk is provided and topped up every day. Little things like this make all the difference. Martin was there to chat away as we left, an absolute credit to the business. We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much Dale and Kerry.

We stayed here at Bowness bay suites in the Hilltop suite. This is situated on the top floor so you have to go up 3 small flights of stairs. We picked this suite specifically for the views as you have a view of Bowness lakeside and Windermere lake and the Bellsfield hotel gardens from the French windows in the lounge, then you have a view of a quiet road with a pub and cottages from the bedroom window. This suite is open planned, cosy, warm and roomy. I loved the baroque style decor in the bedroom with a full length mirror a huge bed with gorgeous bedding. Bathroom has a towel rail that you switch on from just outside the bathroom door and underfloor heating, a bath with overhead shower. The lounge was comfy. Sofa was a bit too low for me but was cute and comfy. There is a small fridge which we stocked up our drinks and snacks. A kettle with a generous supply of milk, tea etc is provided. We didn’t opt for the breakfast as we planned on having a lazy lie-in so we can’t give an opinion on that. We were given a very friendly and warm welcome by the two gentlemen that run Bowness bay suites. This hidden gem is tucked just up the hillside behind the village Inn pub and is literally a 1 minute walk to the lakeside and shops. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! We found this place on a 3rd party booking site but if you’re a savvy shopper then book direct through their private website as I saved myself £30 doing so.
