The Highfield Hotel

Had a lovely one night stay. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool, it was the best part of our trip to Bradford. Nice big hotel room, staff were all friendly, we had a fab night. We enjoyed snacks and a few drinks in the bar, if we’re ever back in Bradford we’d come again, thank you.

Location and hotel are brilliant however the members of staff are rude and unprofessional very unprofessional Never again So far everything was brilliant today is our last stay in this place only because we have been treated badly from the young kids that are in charge around the facilities

Stayed here with work great rooms and Torey behind the bar was amazing and has a crack on with every customer and has a great sense of humor top marks to that lass ! Has all the time in the world for everyone, a real friendly atmosphere. Even locals have a great crack on, cannot thank torey enugh for her helpfullnes

Booked this as an overnight stop before flying out of Leeds Bradford Airport. It was cheaper than those closer and only 20 minutes drive away. The hotel though was a disappointment. No space in the free car park so had to park on the road (not covered by CCTV), a party pub in full swing next door that went on well past midnight (it was Saturday), upon arrival I was told I had booked the wrong night (I hadn't, but needed to show my email to prove it) and because of that the only room they had was a triple single (no idea what I would have done if this only room was full). The room was huge but very tired, like an old 90's student room, 3 single beds, worn out sofa, pine wardrobe and dated carpet. When I woke in the morning there were 3 couples waiting at reception (which seems be pretty much unmanned, I had to telephone call when I checked in). So yes I go back home 50 quid cheaper than if I had booked closer but I won't be going back.

The swimming pool and jacuzzi was not available, apparentlyit was being refurbished since "march" my trip was July, when i went to use the sauna i could see the pool and jacuzzi, nobody was working on it, it does not take 2 months to refurbish as the pool is not exactly large neither is the jacuzzi, one sauna was out of order and the other wasn't working. The gym was ok but small with dated equipment. There was no place to plug in a device to the tv as stated on the website, i asked for an extension lead which was provided but the first 2 he gave me were no where near long enough. I was asked if I had been before which I stated no and it was not explained to me I would need to use my key to turn on the electric. The room was really large which was great but you couldn't sit on the sofa as it was a sofa bed and made me feel like it was going to break. The small ironing board also kept collapsing. I will not be going again in a hurry, I wanted to ask for a refund after an hour once I'd noticed all the problems but I'm not that sort of person. It's such a shame cause I wanted it to be a special evening for me and my partner. The pub on site was full of teenagers which was a huge put off, there were no other facilities in the hotel not a vending machine or anything and only enough milk to make 1 drink each for me and my partner

We stay here often when in Bradford, always clean,comfortable and the staff very obliging. It's ideally situated and rooms are big and comfortable. Brilliant again Highfield and lovely staff. We arrived a little early and where accommodated with a smile and very helpful caring young lady. The contact with the hotel is great. I would highly recommend it.
