We've just returned from a lovely 4 night stay in this beautiful hotel.Yes other reviewers have put it needs some TLC which I suppose it does, but it adds to the charm of this old country house. The staff are so lovely and very helpful nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are nice to walk round.Theres an outdoor pool and a lovely walled garden.Play areas for the children, ducks and chickens. There's a few lounges to sit and relax, books and board games available. There is a few dining areas including an orangery for breakfast and evening meal.We didn't have an evening meal during our stay as we had eaten out elsewhere on our day out or had booked a restaurant in the nearby village. The rooms are small but cosy,we had a standard room.It had all u needed. The bathroom was huge. All toiletteries provided, bathrobes and slippers. We didn't use the pools as we weren't really in during the day but it seemed very busy with children. There isn't a bar but they do have a drinks book so you can order from that which we did and sat outside and they have waiter service.Prices are high though. We loved this hotel so much and didn't want to leave.Colin and Lisa were always chatty and friendly. If were ever in the area again we would definitely return for another stay.
