Premier Inn Braintree (Freeport Village)

Highly recommend going in for breakfast if you live in the local area! Freshly cooked breakfast with a great team of breakfast hosts who will go the extra mile to help you in any way possible.

The refurb at the hotel looks fantastic, the staff, Kerrie, Tracey etc as always, very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Stay was excellent, again, as usual. The only one critical point to make, what are those sausages?! Bring back the old sausages rather that the long cardboard things!

Our heating would not stay on in our room, we hadn’t realised it had gone off until gone midnight, so turned it on again and went to sleep. Throughout the night the thermostat kept setting itself back to a lower temperature so we were very cold. We didn’t ask to move as it was the middle of the night! In the morning we found the thermostat had gone even lower, we turned it up AGAIN but had a very cold showering experience! When we reported this to reception, the lady said to her colleague ‘it’s 116 again’, so it was a known problem! They said we should write to their customer services as there was nothing they could do at the hotel. The main reason for this review IS the customer services! All they have done is apologise and said we should have reported it at the time, not in the morning. I have mentioned their ‘good night guarantee’ and they have now ignored two emails from me! We always choose to stay at premier inns as, on the whole, you know exactly what you will be getting, but on this occasion we are extremely disappointed!

Great breakfast, Chef Yuliia, host Tracey. Very friendly staff, very accommodating. Comfortable bed. Highly recommend. Will return.

My husband and I stayed here on and off since June due to a flood at home. We could not have stayed at a better hotel. All the staff are so friendly,helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Kerry leads an exceptional team from the restaurant staff to reception and the ladies who keep the hotel lovely and clean. My husband and I spent both birthdays there and we were made to feel really special…(a shout out to Kerry and Tracy!).. Hotel is clean Free parking /lots of spaces Breakfast is tasty and fresh We just cannot fault this hotel. We did not want to leave but will definitely be back for breakfast and to see them all. Everyone could not of made us more welcome 😊 We just had a brilliant stay !
