We’re so glad that we chose to stay with The Canton Landmark Hotel. We stayed in an Ensuite during this time, and Our room overlooks the beautiful Zhujiang river. 
The room has beautiful decor reminiscent of the Song dynasty artistic style, and so spacious (we forgot to take a photo). The hotel is also conveniently located with plenty of transport options, see photo of taxi entrance. 
Staff was very friendly and helpful, a special mention to Ben and Nomad - thanks for making our stay wonderful!

The Guangdong Asia International Hotel is very much an international hotel, attracting a significant number of foreign guests; indeed, most visitors staying here are international travelers. The restaurants on the ground floor now predominantly feature international cuisine, a noticeable shift from the past. Its location offers relative convenience, with a wholesale market nearby and a subway station within easy reach. Overall, it's particularly well-suited for international guests.

This truly is an established hotel that left a lasting impression on me. The front desk was managed by a slim, handsome gentleman whose attitude was incredibly gracious and accommodating, answering every question I had. My first impression was absolutely wonderful!

Upon entering the room, a sweet, milky, and fresh fragrance immediately enveloped me, yet it was far from cloying! It smelled absolutely divine, instantly uplifting my mood. What truly surprised and delighted me was that this subtle, long-lasting aroma seemed to emanate directly from the walls! Simply exquisite.

The room was incredibly spacious, and all the amenities were exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean. This truly is the best hotel I've stayed in all year! The comfort factor was elevated to its peak when, after a relaxing evening bath, I wrapped myself in the huge, thick, and wonderfully soft bath towel. Pure bliss! That towel definitely deserves a special mention.

The hotel boasts a beautiful garden-style design, situated right by the river... it's simply breathtaking! The photos I've included were even taken from my bedside, showing off the stunning view!

The Chinese cuisine at the hotel was also delicious!

My final shout-out goes to the single armchair by the window 😀... Once you sink into it, you absolutely won't want to get up – it's the ultimate 'lie-flat' feeling, pure relaxation! 😂

A nostalgic trip spanning 40 years, with one night each at the White Swan Hotel and Garden Hotel.

On the 24th floor, the south-facing view is expansive, and you can even glimpse the Canton Tower in the distance. They provide 6 bottles of Zhaoding mountain spring water in the room, and you can pick up more at the elevator on each floor – a big plus!

The only downside was the quality of the dinner buffet on the 30th floor, which wasn't great, but the breakfast the next day, in the same location, was delicious!

Between the two hotels, I'd recommend the White Swan Hotel!

Hygiene: Surprisingly clean and tidy.
Facilities: I had seen some negative reviews mentioning outdated facilities, but my room was actually quite good. The hotel exterior looks old, but the interior must have been renovated.
Environment: You need to swipe your card to use the elevator, which adds to the security.
Service: The front desk staff was very nice and even allowed a late check-out.

Amazing stay in every way, esp for romantics and history lovers. I asked them to clean the carpet the first day because of all the hairs lying around. That was the only downside. Tip: there is a nice coffee corner just next to the entrance. We’ll definitely come back!

This is a wonderfully quiet hotel. Though compact, it's incredibly well-equipped, featuring laundry facilities and a gym. The hotel boasts a strong sense of design. On the M floor, there's an art exhibition, and I was told by the receptionist that all the pieces are genuine. Located right within the Shamian Scenic Area, it's surrounded by many unique buildings, creating a wonderful atmosphere that's definitely worth exploring. And finally, a big thumbs-up for the Laifen hairdryer in the room!

Overall, I was extremely satisfied! The location was fantastic, just a five-minute walk from the subway station. Most attractions were either one or two subway stops away, or within a 10-20 minute walk, making it incredibly convenient! The only minor downside was that the air conditioning was quite cold, so I had to keep a shawl handy when going in and out. The hotel itself is steeped in history, and it's definitely worth taking the time to explore and appreciate its character. I really hope the hotel continues to carefully preserve its historically valuable items, so future guests (and I) can still appreciate them on subsequent visits. The hotel was very comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it to friends!

Room is old. Maintenance is very basic. Wish they can upgrade and add a bidet for every toilet this is a standard requirement for each establishment.

The location is convenient. It's on Dongfeng Road, just a short walk from Memorial Hall subway station. There are ICBC and Bank of China branches right outside the hotel, which is handy for banking. I booked a business king room and used a Ctrip upgrade benefit. However, I didn't notice much difference after the upgrade – the room wasn't bigger, though it might have been on a higher floor. Complimentary fruit and soft drinks were provided. Food delivery can be brought to the room by a robot, which is quite convenient. The bathrobe was very comfortable.

The breakfast selection was a bit limited, but it was sufficient for a basic, balanced meal.

I chose this hotel when I traveled to Meizhou on May Day. Fortunately, I booked it early or there would be no rooms. The location is right by the river. The scenery is particularly beautiful at night. The front desk service is particularly warm and thoughtful. It may be that there are few people working and they feel too busy. The Jiaying Ancient City recommended is also very good. It is just opposite the hotel. It is particularly lively on May Day. You can try Jinshan beef offal and cloud soufflé. They are particularly delicious. Highly recommended

The hotel is located in Songkou Ancient Town, it is very convenient to visit nearby, the location is first-class 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The environment outside the hotel is beautiful, and it is more poetic and picturesque on rainy days.
The hotel is a renovation of historical buildings, and some designs (such as windows) still retain nostalgic features. The interior design of the room is bright, clean and comfortable.
The front desk clerk was kind and friendly, sharing the information of nearby attractions in detail, very good 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 When I left the store, it was raining heavily. The front desk clerk reminded us that we could drive the car to the hotel next to it, and helped to lift the umbrella, let us put our luggage on the car, very intimate 🥰🥰🥰

I have to give this hotel a thumbs-up for their service! During my stay, I needed to print a document, and the front desk immediately took care of it, carefully checking the format. Later, I realized I forgot my charger, so the staff went out of their way to find a compatible one for me to borrow. They didn't shy away from the unexpected request, but proactively addressed it. This professional and reliable service is a real plus. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It truly deserves its five-star rating!

That afternoon, we made a last-minute decision to cancel our original hotel booking, thinking it would be more convenient to stay on Paifang Street given the rainy weather. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Firstly, its prime location right on Paifang Street makes it incredibly convenient to walk to several major attractions. Secondly, the design is full of thoughtful details, and the hotel feels very new as it hasn't been open long. Every staff member, from the butler to the front desk and restaurant staff, was incredibly friendly! Initially, after reading some reviews, I was a bit concerned about potential street noise. However, we were assigned a room on the 6th floor, and based on my family's experience, aside from a brief minute or two of noticeable noise from the street below around 9 AM, we didn't hear any other street noise at all during our stay. P.S. A minor suggestion for improvement: perhaps because we are a family of four, the waste bins in both the bathroom and the room were a bit on the small side for our needs.
