Das Vista Canyon Inn liegt, wie der Name sagt, direkt am Rande eines Canyons, von denen es in Costa Rica einige gibt. Man sieht also vom Schwimmbad oder der offenen Lobby aus direkt in die Felsschlucht hinunter. Der Garten ist wunderbar begrünt und mit vielen besonderen Pflanzen ausgestattet. Es gibt eine beschränkte Anzahl an Parklätzen. Die Zimmer sind mit allem nötigen ausgestattet, mit Dusche, Aircon, Kühlschrank, aber eher einfach. Zum Frühstück gibt es frische Früchte, Saft, ein selbst gebackenes Brötchen und typische Gallo Pinto (Kartoffeln, Reis, Huhn und Gemüse im Bananenblatt). Dies ist ein familiärer Betrieb, die Leitung spricht perfekt Englisch. Für die Verhältnisse in Costa Rica, das teils sehr teuer ist, wird hier eine gute Preis-Leistung geboten.

I’m so glad we selected Vista Canyon Inn as our “base camp” for arrival, transfers mid-trip and departure hotel on our recent trip to Costa Rica! First, the vista of the Rio Virilla canyon is truly splendid from the hotel, easily seen from all over the property. The grounds are very well-kept, and the hot tub is always open and hot! Comfy beds, clean room, and guy home-made breakfast too. But the best thing is the staff here and how well they take care of your needs. Special shoutouts to Paola at reception and our driver Ezequiel, who took us to and from the airport and all the way to the Caribbean and back with smiles and fun.

Our room was small but we spent little time in it because the view was gorgeous! Lots of thoughtful amenities including an honor bar with wine, beer, and mixed drinks. Do not be put off by the closed door in the wall as you arrive. Ring the bell, wait, and an assistant will guide you in.

My husband and I have stayed here going in and out of Costa Rica maybe six times. We have also brought friends and family. We love the view, quiet and general relaxed feeling here. There are restaurants you can quickly drive to or get delivery from. The included breakfast and coffee are wonderful. All the staff and owners are super chill and helpful. They even offer a service to help with dental work with great professionals with great technology at a low price. We met a bunch of guests that have used their dental services happily. Besides that we saw many birds and the gardens, pool and hot tub fit the bill!

Love Vista Canyon Inn! The views are spectacular and the staff is so welcoming and helpful. Daily breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the canyon were breathtaking and the food amazing! The staff assisted us with planning our tours and giving us helpful information on the area. Can’t wait to go back! I would highly recommend this Inn with a staff that feels like family,

My husband and I loved our 8-day stay at Vista Canyon Inn. The staff was warm and friendly, treating us like family. The grounds were immaculate with glorious views and sunsets. When my husband had dental surgery, they provided smoothies and soft foods for him to enjoy. They also provided transportation to and from the airport as well as dental appointments and grocery stores.

Very nice staff and very nice hotel. Rooms and beds could be a little better but still a very nice hotel! The fridge in the room was a little loud. Also the breakfast was good. The pool area is absolutely stunning and the hotel is very quiet. Thank you

Breakfasts were excellent, friendly staff, (Paola) feels a great deal like home. Wonderful choice if coming to Costa Rica for tourism, dental work, or business. WiFi is good. Great housekeeping and help with booking tours and drivers. (Ezekiel) I am planning on a return trip. Poas Volcano is a great day trip.
