"The hardware is unique and beautiful! There are two aspects to the software: 1. If you are a true Buddhist, you will feel that the commercial atmosphere is very strong, and the morning and evening classes are irregular. 2. The basic services are not up to standard, such as frozen food. It is disappointing that hot water or water boiling tools are not provided in snowy weather. of!"

"The room was very spacious and traditional. The bathroom had a japanese bath which we appreciated very much. The monks were very welcoming and nice, they explained everything.
We also attended the morning prayer at 7 am. Overall it was a great experience.
The dinner and breakfast were delicious."

"Great experience in a temple in the heart of Koyasan. The rules of life within the temple are to be taken into consideration for the traveler tempted by this type of accommodation. In particular, access closes at 9.00 in the evening and no shower possible in the morning or after 21.00."

"It is said to be the imperial residence of Emperor Toba and Empress. It has a beautiful environment and the hardware is new and clean. The location is good, in the middle, you can walk to major attractions in ten minutes. There is a short uphill walk to get off the bus.
I booked a Japanese-style room with a bathroom. I stayed in a room on the second floor. There was a small entrance hall, a sink, and a small bathroom at the entrance. It's very cold in Mount Koya in winter. With the air conditioner and heating on, the room is very warm.
The breakfast and dinner of Shojin cuisine are very sumptuous. In the morning class, the master will lead the chanting of sutras and incense, as well as Azi Temple meditation. If you want to participate in the fire offering, you need to make reservations at other temples. There are dedicated people who come to the room to take meals and morning classes, and the service is very considerate. I’ll come back next time during the red leaf season."

"The accommodation and the temple are not in the same building and are 20 meters apart. The temple is very quiet, beautiful and simple. "The room was located in a stunning and truly beautiful temple. The person who welcomed us was incredibly kind and, the next morning, gave us a full tour of the temple and its different areas. The room was a bit cold in January but amazing, and the public baths were not always very convenient, but the hot onsen at the end of the day, along with the friendliness and authentic atmosphere, made the experience truly wonderful."

Amazing
MMia’s Travel MemoirsFor the price, this was a really average stay. The staff were average, as well as the food. The staff were friendly but they didn’t feel genuine. The Temple itself is very beautiful. The rooms are large, however the floor mattresses are completely worn out so you can actually feel the hard floor beneath you. I’ve stayed in a Ryokan before and their mattresses were still soft and comfortable so this Temples mattresses are definitely in need of an upgrade. Would I come here again? Probably not.
GGuest UserThis temple stay is amazing. Vegetarian breakfast and dinner was great. The morning prayer and fire ritual was great to take part in. They also offered an afternoon mediation tutorial. There was a night tour for the cemetery, however I did not take part. It was a little concerning that the English tour was ¥1000 yen more than the Japanese tour. Overall I highly recommend this place.
