Recently stayed here, the lady at reception and the breakfast are and the breakfast were lovely, but unfortunately our room was next to another chalet room were there was a dog consistently scratching on the floors which we heard for most of the evening loudly through the walls. And consistent banging. Also because it was so warm weather wise, we opened our window, but had to keep closing it due to the room next door banging the door open every ten minutes to let the dog out and swearing loudly at the dog for it to “ hurry up”. 4 times during the night, the dog woke up scratching again, hence our review rating because our sleep was so disturbed. Bathroom toiletries were the absolute minimum, tiny sized shampoo and shower gel.

Just had a 1 night stay as a family of 5. The room was very spacious with everything you could possibly need, large fridge, microwave, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities. The towels were so fluffy and as for the bed 😍 we all had a great night sleep, the duvet and the pillows were amazing. Breakfast in the morning had so much choice catering for everyone (we don’t have any dietary needs but if you do there’s options). We would definitely recommend. Thankyou for a fabulous getaway xxx

Found this place by chance while looking for somewhere at very short notice due to being let down and what a gem. Spotlessly clean, lovely hosts and hot freshly cooked breakfast. Lovely quiet place in beautiful grounds. Nothing too much trouble. We checked in early due to attending an event and rooms were left warm and cosy for our return as it was November. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is warmer. So glad our original place of stay cancelled on us.

Excellent place to stay. We arrived early and asked if we could park and come back later, the lady checked to see if our room was ready. We was allocated another room that was ready, the room was great nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice

Stopped off here to use the toilet and was met by a very very rude woman who refused. I have a medical condition of which I carry a card. When asked if I could use the loo I was told it was cleaned and then a voice came from behind a curtain screaming that I could not use the loo. Clealry this woman had no consideration for people with hidden disabilities. Shame as we were looking g to extend out holiday in Brean and maybe book a room there. My advice stay well clear... Horrid vile woman

A tiny draughty room that smelt of bleach right next to the road. A shower that was old and needs replacing. Curtains did not block out the light so not a good nights sleep. No information in the room about WI FI. No breakfast menu, just asked did I want a full English? Hard to answer if I don’t actually know what a full English contains. Breakfast very ordinary

This was the second visit to to the Old Rectory and we were just as impressed as the first time 2 years ago. We couldn't fault the place, staff were super friendly, the room was immaculately crean, beds ver comfortable. We were given an upgrade to a bigger room because we had booked fir the week. There was a fridge with a freezer compartment and a microwave in our room with plates and dishes for a take aways. Tea coffee and milk refreshed everyday, lovely white towels and complementary toiletries. The breakfast was superb and varied with full Englis, scrambled eggs, toast cereals, fruit juice, jam and Marmalade. Every thing you could think of to make your holiday enjoyable. Would certainty recommend the Old Rectory for anyone looking fir a nice quiet stay. I forgot to mention its very dog friendly, we took our 2 dogs 2 years ago and they loved it. Unfortunately both passed away last year. We would like to say a bigbthank you to all at the Rectory fir you kindness and making our holiday special x😊
