Seehotel am Kaiserstrand

Wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel a surprise for us. We booked a standard room and were upgraded to a lake view room and it was worth it. The pool and spa area is nice and comfortable, be careful however swimsuits are prohibited in the sauna and hammam. The restaurant rooms are magnificent. An enchanting setting, we were not able to enjoy the restaurant on stilts because seminars were organized there.

Unfortunately, my stay at the Seehotel am Kaiserstrand in Lochau did not meet the expectations one would have for a hotel of this category. We spent three nights at the hotel, a group of 4-6 people plus our dog, and were overall very disappointed with the experience. Room: We definitely expected more for the price. Although there were two of us sharing a room, the 15 square meter room was very cramped and more suitable for a single room. The queen-size bed was insufficient for two people, and the comfort left much to be desired. In addition, they charged a fee of €40 per night for our dog, which seems completely excessive considering the size of the room and the general range of services offered. Service: The service was overall disappointing. The bathhouse did not accept reservations on the terrace, which made using this area unnecessarily difficult. We were particularly dissatisfied with the shuttle service to the festival: Despite the high prices, no flexible service was offered. Only after we threatened to cancel the additional service was the hotel willing to accommodate our scheduling preferences. Service at the bar was also slow. It took a long time to be served, and even simple snacks like nuts were only served upon request and after a long wait. These delays and the lack of attentiveness of the staff significantly dampened the overall impression. There weren't enough loungers outside. It gives the impression that you're forced to visit the restaurant to consume food. Value for money: For the price we paid, the overall package was extremely disappointing. Both the room size and the service were completely out of line with what you would expect from a hotel of this category. Particularly annoying was the high fee for the dog, which was disproportionate to the service provided. Conclusion: Our stay at the Seehotel am Kaiserstrand was unfortunately a disappointment. The shortcomings in service, the small room size, and the poor value for money mean that I cannot recommend the hotel. Anyone looking for a truly relaxing and well-attended experience on Lake Constance should look elsewhere.
