Bluesun Hotel Berulia

This is our 2nd visit to the Blue Sun Berulia - excellent hotel. Two fabulous pools, always loads of sun beds, views to die for (sea and side sea facing), mountain views from the other rooms. Close to Brela (fabulous coastal path) and Baska Voda in the other direction. Shingle beach, safe water, and rental of sun beds and parasols. Only one word of warning - there are lots of steps to get down to beach level. Good low key evening entertainment with many excellent local artists. AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL!! The staff here are fantastic - always friendly, helpful, and kind. Very special mention has to go to Jovana, and Nahid, Jelka, and also to Luka . These people made our stay so very enjoyable - thank you so much!

We have almost 20 years of experience of Brela and Baska Voda and Hotel Berulia has always been our preffered place. The beach just below the hotel is great and the lunches at beach restaurant Puz are very good. A great start of the day is to visit their poolbar having a morning coffee in the shadow under the nice pine trees. A special thanks to Dejan and his friendly staff who always deliver great service.

Stayed end of September 2023. First impressions good, plates of food provided as we’d missed dinner, on same level as reception, nice room, but balcony overlooked (& almost at same level as road, so not really able to relax during day) . Breakfast good but no access without several steps. Aware that there were steps to beach, but steps down to pools too, so not suitable for people with limited mobility or families with young children. Evening meals good & some entertainment available. Could walk into local villages, but unfortunately beach bars were packed away at end of September, so probably better to visit earlier. Good hotel for anyone reasonably fit & healthy, but not suitable for anyone with limited mobility

Lovely hotel on the edge of Brela. At first l thought it was a little isolated. However Baska Voda is only 10-15 minutes walk beside the beautiful crysral clear sea. It's great for any necessities. We also took the Padre cruise to Hvar and Broc from there. Absolutely worth the trip to these lovely islands. We had a sea view room although we'd book a side view. No complaints though! Room with comfortable beds and walk in shower was fine. Two great pools,one which is shallow and infinity . Loads of sun beds . Never a problem getting one. I did however count 110 steps from the beach to the hotel back entrance. Even with mobility issues l got usedro them. Breakfast and dinner food choice is very good. Also had lovely lunches at the pool bar/restaurant near the beach with beautiful views. Friendly servers too. There are wasps and mosquitoes. They didn't bother me but my husband was badly bitten. Only downside of the holiday is the transfer time. Takes almost two hours plus we had to transfer to a minibus to access the hotel. Not really a problem though. All in all highly recommend this hotel.

We were a party of 4 that stayed for 7 nights B&B. The rooms were lovely, good aircon, clean, good water pressure in the shower, no noise from other rooms and great view of the sea. Guessing that the hotel want busy as no trouble getting sun beds. One of the best breakfast buffets I have had in a hotel. The food at lunch in the bar and by the sea was good. The sharing fish plate at the snack bar was excellent. The staff in the bar and the snack bar by the beach were so friendly and chatted in excellent English. Both pools were a good temperature and swimming in the sea was just amazing! 15 mins walk in each direction to a selection of bars and restaurants - it felt very safe only minor negatives were: - lots of mosquitos, everyone was bitten - there are a lot of steps is you are not good on your feet - the food at the snack bar was lovely, shame it closed at 6 pm. Not everyone is on half board - I was surprised at the number of children staying at the hotel as there are no facilities for them. Would be nice if the smaller pool was adult only. - there is huge outside terrace for breakfast but lots of people were smoking. The area is big enough to split into smoking / no smoking sections - they don't really do late check out or offer a room to shower. Just kept telling us to come back later. But a pizza on the seafront at the snack bar in the shade of a pine tree made the wait a pleasure :)
