Excellent stay. The staff were very helpful. The experience / concierge desk in particular, with Beatrice, Anna and Sara, was excellent. The resort is very guest-friendly with lots of options within the resort. The experience desk then helped organise all meals and events outside the resort.

Hotel Cristallo Google review summary 4.4 217 reviews 5 ★ 4 ★ 3 ★ 2 ★ 1 ★ Reviews on other travel sites Tripadvisor 4.5/5 · 151 reviews Reviews Search reviews Amanda Montford 4/5 a week ago on Google The Valtur Cristallo is a nicely decorated, and well equipped hotel with a gym, spa, sauna, and pool. I used the gym, and it has modern Technogym equipment, so I was able to log into my account. We didn't participate in the evening entertainment or the afternoon buffet so unable to comment on this. The hotel and the room we stayed in are spotlessly clean, and that makes a huge difference and is reassuring. Staff are pleasant and helpful, particularly on the Guest Experience desk, which may explain the minimal information imparted at check-in. Having the ski hire available on the premises was a bonus and the lockers are adequate for 2 pairs of skis and boots. You're not asked what equipment you are using, when you are issued with your key, so imagine if you snowboard as 2 guests you would need 2 lockers. There's ample room to get your gear on and the check in to hire equipment is a good idea. Costs are reasonable for skis for a week too. The shuttle bus drivers work extremely hard and are attentive and helpful. They work tirelessly running guests to and from town and are v frequent. They are a credit to the hotel so big thanks to them. There is no shuttle bus after 7pm but you can walk into town, and back ( the latter if you have the grit to walk back up the hill fulled by a few bombardinos,or are prepared to pay €10pp). The food is plentiful and very flavoursome and good quality ingredients, with options such as beef fillet, roasted joints, fish, pasta, salads, cold meats, cheese, soup, sushi, and pizzas made at a dedicated station in the buffet restaurant which is you are a Crystal guest is where you will dine. However, what significantly let's it down is the temperature of the hot food, tho it isnt! I'm not sure if the bains marie aren't filled high enough, and the water kept hot enough under the ceramic dishes, but often the food is luke warm at best... which is extremely disappointing and spoils the food. The heat lamps are useless, and plates are cold for hot meals. Pizza is cooked and laid out, too, and kept under heat lamps. It's the biggest complaint of the guests if you read the reviews and for a 4/5* hotel management should really look at this, as if it wasn't for this reason (I love a good meal after being out all day) then I would return next year, but I really don't want to experience it again, as I wouldnt look forward to my evening meal and it would spoil my trip. It's a shame for the chefs, and support staff who prepare, present and serve the the food. The lukewarm/cold temperatures spoils good food and your meal experience. This is the same at breakfast time, too. The drinks are expensive, at the bar and in the restaurant. There is such a wide-ranging selection of wines to choose from, but a bottle of prosecco will set you ba

Second time in two years we booked this hotel and delighted to say it just gets better. From front of house, to dining the standard of service remains very high. The standard and variety of food on offer should find something for everyone. I now refer to the hotel as a cruise ship in the mountains. The entertainment team work very hard each evening and put a great show on after dinner. On the downside if you are not a jazz fan the music may get on your nerves especially during breakfast. A bit more variety would not go amiss. The back of house teams work very hard and maintain a very high standard. Thanks for another fantastic holiday.

I had a very bad experience with the manager in the ski rental shop. My rental skiis were taken by someone while I was in a mountain restaurant a long debacle followed which involved me getting a replacement pair. When I returned them I was told I was liable for the cost of the skiis EUR 667 as I hadn’t looked after them despite me telling them someone had taken them. While I completely understand the cost to the rental company needed to be resolved in some way, the rude and ignorant way this staff member treated me was disgusting blaming the entire incident on me. It saddens me to leave this review as the actual hotel, resort and other staff were fantastic and had it not been for this incident I would be leaving a glowing review

Great hotel with amazing staff , immaculatly clean constantly and very well maintained, buffet restaurants with a large variety of food, large noodle room with ski and boot hire , there is a ski shuttle service which runs all day up to 7pm , the rooms are very nicely decorated with tea and coffee machines , the hotel has a very large lobby with a nice bar area , there is live acts from about 4 or 5 pm , we booked with crystal and the price was very good value ,

A very disappointing trip. We paid just short of a fortune for the trip and the four rooms but it was not worth the money for many reasons - the facilities, the staff were rude (apart from a lovely man called Fabio), the food, the service, the awful hotel set up. A terrible part was once past 7pm they charge 10 euros per person to take people into town which is a 2 minute max journey down a very steep dangerous hill to walk with no pavement! They will come back on this message and no doubt say 'yes, but it is complimentary service during the day'.. yes, but that is the bare minimum for the price people pay. It is an additional 15 euros if you'd like anything delivered to the room - which is astonishing and something I have never ever seen in a hotel around the world. A request for milk to be delivered for a cup of tea nearly cost me 20 euros with the additional charge. The spa - be warned again, you only get 1 hour in the spa a day per person. Therefore, if you are not a big skier you will be stung by this. The receptionist's are so rude. On arrival you are requested to put down a card for the deposit which is completely normal. On day 2 of our trip we requested to swap cards and the first one be refunded. 6 working days later, we are still waiting on the first card to be refunded - they completely ignore me and batted me off when I said we were still waiting. I have sent a strongly worded email now back in the UK but no response. They are currently holding £3,732.28 worth of deposits from us - even though they said the money should 100% be back with us by Monday 6th January - it is now Wednesday 8th January. One of our party broke their leg on NYE, after calling and calling the hotel to come collect us from town, they never sent someone down and left us stranded to find a way back up the hill. The only saving grace for this trip was a driver called Fabio who gave the injured party member his number and took him where needed, whenever he needed - a life saver. There is a lot more I could comment on but I hope that gives an honest flavour for the hotel, staff and service.

We arrived and from the outset, were impressed. The experience so far has been brilliant The a la carte restaurant was open when we got in. Umberto, Fabio, and the manager Francesco were incredibly attentive as were all other too numerous to mention. Enjoying this trip immensely
