The Royal Bridlington

I stayed for one night as I went to see the singer Sam Ryder perform at Bridlington Spa. It was my final night away of the Summer, having being travelling more or less constantly since early July. So I was happily tired by now and enjoyed the calm and serene vibe of The Royal. My room was very comforting and had a view of the sea. The breakfast that I had the next morning was really nice and was the perfect meal to have to help my slightly hungover state. The dining room especially had the atmosphere that took me back in time to seaside holidays as a teenager when me and my friend used to go for occasional trips away. Bridlington is a place of memories so I liked that. And the owners and staff were really nice. They are a credit to the hospitality industry in the town. I had a really nice time

We spent one night at the Royal as we needed to be in Bridlington early in the morning for a boat tour. Didn't really know what to expect but we're really happy with our visit. Tim the owner was there to welcome us when we arrived at 8pm and showed us to our room. This was on the ground floor in a small annexe at the rear of the building. No sea view but it was a large room with a very spacious bathroom. Also was very quiet. We had to park our car on the road as the car park was full but that was fine. For dinner we took a short stroll along the seafront and had a lovely meal at a Mediterranean style restaurant nearby. Slept well and had a great breakfast. Tim cooked a range of hot breakfast dishes and there was a good buffet of cold foods. I had lovely berries and there was a lot of choice. Breakfast was cooked well and the dining room is organised. All in all it is a well run establishment in a great location.

Just re.booked for next year lovely place staff helpfully and friendly rooms clean and tidy one slight hitch the boiler packed in Friday night of all nights but delt with by owners lovely breakfast would recommend this hotel

Don't know where you went, with a walk found restaurants open till 10pm. All you need to do is walk to North beach, then go around the back streets. We found a really good pasta place, just down the road from the Weather spoon pub.

As been a little disabled ( can't really walk far so wasn't really sure what we booked at last minute. Limited parking. But no problem for us .on arrival step outside. But within sec the owner appears. Very nice chatty and smart. Opened the side access area for my wheelchair .straight in .no problem. Our room was on the ground floor nice access and garden to sit outside . Room very clean a little dated .how ever wouldn't take much to update. In fact lol was so tempted to move furniture which I think it would make a much better room for space.. expl tea coffee near the tv right behind the door . Hairdryer on wall which is good but there was a mirror but not at the hight u could sit down.. Coat hanger near door good idea but cupboard underneath. . Bathroom clean..but for someone with mobility issues it would have been impossible for me to get in bath seemed quite high . And normally no problem. Could do with a disability step really. Slept like a log / clean sheets very good quality. Breakfast,,) really really nice serving staff . Lots to choose on menu. Breakfast was a little overdone. But bacon and sausage was taste less . Probably an easier fix as well .to me when u have worked in catering _ hotels over the years I think u noticed more things . Dinner room clean again for me over full of stuff needs a fresh eye. A bit more modern Overall I would stay again. Nice owner and staff

Myself and 3 friends stayed two nights at The Royal and played 3 rounds of golf all arranged for us by the owner (Tim). Great dialogue in advance and Tim got us some great tee times and very good green fees too, so all in all, with the golf and accommodation we did very well. The Royal is ideally located on the south shore, not too far from the centre of Bridlington and just set back from the sea front. The hotel has a few off street parking spots but tbh there are plenty of parking spaces just outside. We recieved a nice warm welcome from the owners and all had individual room which we really clean and well appointed. Towels and bedding were very fresh and my bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfasts were all cooked individially and there was plenty of choice on the buffet area, cereals, fresh fruit, juices etc etc, full english was our preferred call and it was really really good, no shortage of toast and coffee to compliment it too. Thanks to owners Tim and Fiona along with their staff for making our brief stay very enjoyable. One final point, we'll be back next year - enough said !!!
