Arrived at the hotel thinking the accommodation would match or be similar to Booking.coms photos. It wasn’t, not anywhere near. There were builders working on the roof on arrival with the Chef smoking and chatting to them. The paintwork and building looked tired and dated. So first impressions not good. Walking in the place stank of fags and that special kind of Tabacco only the Dutch can provide. At the bar opposite reception was the bar which was busy. We were checked in and pointed to our room. 3 flights of very steep stairs , the last set tight with no hand rail, then into our oven. Tiny bed, tiny shower, you couldn’t have the bathroom door shut and open the shower door as there wasn’t room. No dressing table or mirror, no tea/coffee, fridge not working. No air con or window to open more than an inch. The place is in the sixties and they know it and couldn’t care less.

I mistakenly booked this place for the wrong date. I phoned them immediately to tell them. I booked on the 28th Sept at 8pm for the same night. I phoned at 10 past 8 when I realised. My wife changed the booking to Sunday the 2nd instead of Sunday the 9th. A small mistake. The hotel refuses to change the booking and will charge me 95euros to not stay on the 2nd. I asked them several times and was told they basically don't care. I asked them about the negative publicity this will generate and they just don't care. This is how they will treat there guests. They just want your money and don't care about service. Clearly by their actions they send a priceless message.

A very simple hotel in the historic center of Brielle. Decor is reminiscent of the 1960s.. rooms small.. beds are also good. Friendly staff. If you want to be sure of a good night's sleep, order a room at the rear of the hotel. The front is located on a busy street with many restaurants, which can cause noise pollution, especially during the weekend. Free parking behind the hotel is a plus. Good breakfast. Room price in my opinion on the high side for what is offered.

Reception was okay. Friendly man. Until that night I experienced something that I have never experienced before. The fact that the dirty men from further away could just enter our room 'because they knew the owner' goes a long way! We have also reported this and will certainly not leave it at that. Too bad the hotel looked okay for what you paid, but we are really shocked by what happened here last night and will never come back here!

Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt! Hotel is zeer gedateerd en is hard aan een renovatie toe. Erg kleine kamer en zag er niet fris uit (muren zaten vol met allerlei vlekken!?) In de gang zat de hagelslag tegen de muur! Ontbijt bood niet veel keus, broodjes niet echt vers, Al met al een smoezelig hotel. Man achter de balie was vriendelijk, ligging is prima. Zal niemand aanraden om voor die prijs daar te gaan logeren.
