Fantastic location on the golf course and excellent pricing. The property owner was lovely and extremely accomodating. We would highly recommend a stay at Chalet Lumineux, especially for a romantic getaway.

Liked · 1. Location - away from town centre, in a beautiful, quiet garden. 2. Well equipped kitchen. 3. Free WiFi. 4. Adequate heating - reverse cycle A/C + electric blanket on the bed. 5. Toiletries were provided. 6. Washing machine. 7. Little extra touches were nice, i.e. chocolates and nuts. Disliked · 1. Chalet was too small for interstate travellers. 2. Shower - not able to adjust the shower head. 3. There was an issue with hot water on one of the mornings, we couldn't take a shower.

What a delightful place. Our little chalet was cosy with the lights and heater on when we arrived. The lovely host Julie helped carry our bags from the carport and gave us help to find eateries and places to see. It was a little wet on our weekend but it just fitted with our winter alpine experience with cool walks and lovely surrounds, nice to be away from our city noise. Thanks Julie and also little Zappa the wonderdog host.

I have read previous reviews and they are dated, maybe at the time of writing the chalets were good but now they are in my opinion very tired, The lady who looks after the property is struggling, from the moment we arrived she was under the pump. It is a big area and to be honest needs a great deal of work just to keep the gardens in trim. The Chalet we stayed in was small and not very comfortable . The kitchen area is adequate but on arrival we were told the dishwasher wasn't working. No big deal, but it is part of the package. However the sink in the bathroom was not fixed to the wall (it moved when you used it) and the shower doors were broken. The floor of the shower was my main concern, It was really slippery and if someone fell it would be difficult to extricate them. In addition if you wanted to dry your towels (two were provided) it was expected for you to dry them outside, good in summer, not so good for when we were there. We thought there might be a dryer on the premises but were provided instead with a a stand tp put up in the not so late main room overnight. There is no areas to put suitcases and we ended up stowing them alongside the very uncomfortable settee.If you wanted to sit out side and enjoy the view you were limited by the amount of time you could put up with the mozzies. Oh yes the provided citronella can was empty and the lady was unavailable. By the way the view was of the local road. To be honest I believe the owner is trying her best but she needs help.
