Property Description
Brighton House is a 200-year-old, listed building and has the stairs to confirm this! As we don't have a elevator, we advise anyone who has difficulty with stairs to take this into consideration before booking. Described as a ‘luxurious Regency Guest House with immaculate rooms’ by The Lonely Planet Guide, Lucho and the team welcome you to their historic townhouse. According to the AA, Brighton House puts ‘hospitality and comfort high on the agenda’, and its clean, fully rooms with attached bathroom are well located in the heart of Brighton. Start the day with the largely organic buffet-style breakfast before exploring the beach, The Brighton Center, The Metropole, the Lanes and Preston Street for dining, all of which are all within walking distance of Brighton House.

The best, most comfortable bed! Only problem for me was that we were in the rafters. 6 flights of stairs, so not great if you have any mobility issues. However, the staff were fantastic. Anni, come to Scotland any time. Great location and such friendly people. I've already tried to book again but they are fully booked when I want to go. Breakfast was brilliant, although the only thing that is cooked were the boiled eggs and toast, but believe me, the other options were exceptional. Home made yoghurt, fresh yoghurt, cereal, fresh juices, cheeses, fruit, pastries, meats, breads, tomatoes and salad. So enough to satisfy anyone. Also the tea and coffee was fab. We loved it, Mary & Faysal x

We were very much looking forward to our trip to Brighton and staying at Brighton house. We were greeted by a very nice guy who also offered to carry our bags up to the 4th floor. Entering the room was disappointing. Very soulless, bland and very small. The WiFi was terrible. Not sure if this was because we were on the 4th floor. Husband attempted to have a shower which took nearly 15 minutes to turn even warm. Our room overlooked the square and it was very noisy at night. I was woken up at least twice. I noticed that there was also dirt and bits of rubbish which could be seen in the light when turned on. The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard. The pillows were thin and the duvet needed to be a higher tog as I was chilly during the night. The towel which was in the bathroom on arrival was stained. Quite revolting and really put me off showering. Did not have the breakfast as it did not appeal to us. Overall a poor stay. 2 nights at £265. Just not up to what was expected. I have been more comfortable in a premier inn. Won't be visiting again unfortunately.

What a lovely place to stay. My fiancé and I stayed here for when I ran Brighton Marathon and it was perfect. Great location right on the front, breakfast started an hour early for guests on marathon day so we could all carb up, comfy beds and spacious rooms. All the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make you feel comfortable, will absolutely recommend to friends and will stay here in the future! Thank you very much!

I had a lovely two night stay in a double bed room. It was up three flights of stairs, a perfectly formed space, with all I needed. It was quiet room, and had a very comfortable bed. A good hot shower. Lovely towels and bed linen. The staff made my stay exceptional. Breakfast was just amazing. I loved the eggs in the sand, which kept them warm. The bread each morning was a treat as well. I will always choose Brighton House when coming to Brighton.

My hotel rooms were booked months ago but the hotel inexplicably cancelled my rooms with no communication, no reason, nothing whatsoever. In the meantime hotels have become so much more expensive, so am significantly out of pocket. It was extremely disappointing and caused unnecessary stressful.

We'll be back to this conveniently-sited, quiet and welcoming hotel in the stunning Regency Square. It's got plenty of old-world stately character without any of the garish glitziness of the larger places on the front, and the room was comfortable with a view of the square and sea, and even a little balcony. The breakfast was the very best kind of continental breakfast, with ham and smoked fish, and eggs and a great assortment of cheeses, and bread and croissants with a plethoric tray of jams and marmalades, and lovely coffee. The staff are friendly and charming, and we'd return any day.

Very friendly and welcoming guesthouse with a comfortable room and delicious breakfast. The location is very quiet and pleasant and is walking distance to Brighton centre or Hove and is very close to the i360 tower (currently closed) and the West Pier. The breakfast is not a cooked one but the quality and variety of food provided in the buffet was excellent

We had a lovely stay. Great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our large room with tea, coffee and a tv ( not that we used it) was clean and tidy, but a little tired. The continental breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. We will be back.
