The Swallows Rest Bed & Breakfast

Wonderful relaxing stay, went for a short 2 night break with my cousin to enjoy some girls time, shopping. Sam was a fabulous host. Nothing too much trouble. Country views from our twin room were really serene and peaceful, sheep grazing right outside in the courtyard that was available for guests use. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly served. The room for extremely quiet, which was our number one requirement when looking for a place to stay as we were fed up with noisy hotels in the past. we went into Stamford which was lovely with a good selection of shops. Hopefully we will return soon

My wife and I have stayed at Swallows Rest twice. Both times have been very comfortable and relaxing. Sam is a wonderful host and very attentive towards her guests. Brigstock is a beautiful village and a delight to walk around. Looking forward to our next stay.

Superb gem of a place, and our host Sam was wonderful and attentive. The room was immaculate and great attention to detail. View from the window over looking garden for residents use with outside seating. Great location and would drive out of the way just to stay here.

This was the third time I have stayed at Swallows Nest, travelling for work. It's a gem of a place, convenient for travel, very clean, quiet, a great breakfast and Sam as a host cannot do enough, including booking a restaurant! I wouldn't mark it detrimentally, but having to travel 10-15 minutes for dinner after a long day wasn't ideal, it would be beneficial if there was a place within walking distance for an evening meal. Overall the B&B itself is excellent.

What an amazing place, Sam has been the perfect host from start to finish. Me and the wife came for my birthday and it was perfect. The room was big with a great bed which we had the best nights sleep in a long time and the bathroom with the traditional roll top bath was ideal for relaxing. Sam helped us choose a nice meal out and the breakfast she cooked was to die for. We will definitely come here again if we are in the area and would recommend to everyone we know. Thanks again Sam!

As a fan of cookies, I total applaud the two fresh, warm, gooey home made ones we received each day. Five stars, right there. But that's not all. The bed was very comfortable, and with the lights off, the room was dark and quiet: the three main requirements for sleeping. The room temperature was comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. Décor was very 'English Homes', tastefully understated. The owner, Sam, was lovely, and happy to provide information on the area. Breakfast was excellent, with options I've not seen before, like overnight oats. Criticisms? Very minor. Parking space is sufficient, but not more. The shower floor is quite slippery. (Bath mat available.) I've stayed around the area for many years, and Swallows never came up, apparently because it's so popular. That's a review in itself.
