Masseria Baroni Nuovi

Baroni came to our rescue for a 2 night stay at this wonderful authentic Masseria near Brindisi. We had a booking at another hotel that was cancelled due to a flood in the room. They didn’t have an alternative for us. We had an hour to find somewhere and we remembered we had called at Baroni for a coffee about 10 yrs ago - we remembered their welcoming service and we fell lucky. The place is quiet and peaceful. Thank you Baroni .

Arrived by bike from Otranto, having ridden past many other Masseria, lovely buildings in a quiet location although just off a minor road. Warm welcome and shown to large room, with very high ceiling. Comfortable room although fixtures and fittings just a bit past there best. Nice pool and lovely surroundings. Had a great evening meal although service faltered at times as it was one waiter for a dozen tables. Food good, and local wine excellent. Good breakfast. Could see why it would be a great wedding venue.

We had our wedding at Masseria Baroni Nuovi in July this year and it was truly the most perfect occasion that more than surpassed our expectations. We planned everything ahead of time with Simona the wedding planner and communication was quick and easy. She supported us to get the wedding we wanted. From the moment we arrived myself my wife,and the guests were wowed with the Masseria and grounds. Individual designed rooms that were all special and unique the wedding suite was truly stunning with an enormous bathroom and jacuzzi bath. We arrived to a welcome dinner and drinks which was delicious all the guests commented how stunning the food was with excellent wine from the Masseria. The staff couldn’t do enough and made everyone feel so special. This continued to the wedding day with details I hadn’t even imagined. A live mozzarella station, a station for deep fried snacks and canapés, a live bbq, a cocktail bar, an excellent DJ, stunning wedding cake, beautiful table settings. Everything was just superb. I couldn’t fault a single thing and I wish we could do it all again. I have already recommended the Masseria to so many friends and I will certainly return for a holiday. Thank you to all the staff Lucia, Simona, Antonio, Nuno everybody went above and beyond. This is truly a very special place and you will get the wedding you wanted and more which will leave your guests saying “best wedding ever”.

Where to begin. This was our second visit to the masseria, we chose this beautiful place as our wedding venue. All of our expectations were blown out of the water. It was the most romantic and beautiful wedding our guests had ever been to. The Masseria is a small family run hotel, with a big heart. Each and every member of staff went the extra mile to give 7 star service to each and every one of our guests. The food is grown in the masseria, or sourced locally. It is simple Puglian cuisine that exudes love and passion for the area. The chefs can be seen talking with guests after service, to make sure that we all enjoyed the cuisine. The front of house staff are exceptional. Special thanks to Antonio and Mino, who never left our guests without food or drinks, working so so hard to make our stay memorable. When I walked out of my room in my wedding gown both men had tears on their faces and big hugs! The family who own the masseria were in tears, the waitresses and the kitchen staff, it’s like a big family of love and care. We are truly blessed to have had such an unforgettable experience. Rich and I are already planning our first wedding anniversary holiday here… our family and friends want to do it all again!! Thank you for everything … you are the best of Puglia xxx

When all the planets align one occasionally has an experience which totally exceeds expectation and resonates with your soul. This was one such experience. Anna and her family are evolving something very special, maintaining the vision and ethos of their forefathers. We melted into a full week at this rural Apulian retreat - a fully functioning organic farm, with a creative kitchen, with cooks from the locality combing love, the very finest produce, and centuries of collective knowledge. Watching them arrive in the early evening laden with freshly picked produce (zucchini in flower, ripe tomatoes, beans, melon and much more) from the surrounding 300 acres - knowing that a feast was in store - became a nightly joy. Head Waiter Antonio was on top of his game, a total delight, knowledgeable, attentive, caring and characterful. A real ambassador for the farm and the region. Having assessed our tastes, he even suggested dishes not featured on the menu which were duly conjured in a trice. Excellent local wines, some produced on the property, were priced at around 15 - 20 Euros (Aperol Spritz at 5 Euros). Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. All the above delivered with a smile and offered great value for money. What’s not to like?

We have travelled all over Europe and the world. Masseria Baroni Nuovi is a hidden gem. The accommodation, staff and service is first class and we will definitely return in the future. It not only is a wonderful place to stay with a fantastic but relaxing atmosphere, they also produce all of their own Olive Oil and other produce on site ensuring that their restaurant food is fresh, simple but delicious. The Masseria is also within close proximity to local towns and beaches but a hire car is essential. That being said, you could spend days here just relaxing and enjoying this wonderful place.
