If you are looking for privacy, I do not recommend it because the owners live there and you may feel uncomfortable. Maybe it could be your destination if you are looking for an experience of living with local people. Do not stay here if you are traveling with friends and even less so if you are a group of women because the owners are not tolerant of noise, not even voices after 10 pm. They claim that the area is very quiet, however on our first night there was a party next door, but it didn't really cause us any disturbance. Unfortunately we were not able to see the positive side of living with Gemma and her husband, on the contrary, we left a bad taste in our mouths as they showed very little control of their emotions and little availability to discuss any differences. We were a group of women, our last night we decided to stay at the house and “broke the rules” by staying talking, laughing and listening to music at a low level. If the rules were no noise after 10 pm I agree that we deserved a wake-up call, however the way they did it was unnecessary, they really did unnecessary things. We received aggressive shouts from Gemma and her husband, we even received a threat from the husband. We tried to talk to him to present our points but he did not allow us. It truly made us feel insecure, vulnerable and uncomfortable as a group of women exposed to a man's lack of emotional control. The house in general is clean, they do your daily cleaning, perhaps not with the proper customer service, but they make your bed and clean your bathroom. For us it was not the desired experience and I am also sure that the majority of stays at Casa Menta are positive. But it is important that potential future clients know the limitations and what they can be exposed to to avoid unpleasant moments for both parties. With this bad experience, my suggestion is that you be very honest that the needs of your trip share the values ​​of Gemma and her husband.
