I stayed here on my St Malo to Nice bike ride. The owners were very welcoming and the room was very comfortable. They stored my bike away for the night which was very kind. I enjoyed a glass of local wine in the garden too! Breakfast was fabulous, the best I had on my trip. Thanks for such great service.

We liked this very typically french hotel. The owners were lovely and very helpful. I arrived early and they were happy for me to sit in the lounge til the others arrived. Our rooms were excellent, large bathrooms and all very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Plus point was the secure storage for our bikes. The other plus point was it's proximity to the Chateau Brissac, one of the most beautiful chateau I've visited. We had dinner and breakfast, both were fine, but for €28 pp, we felt dinner could have been better. This is simply in comparison with other meals we had on our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Out of my whole month’s travel in France, Hotel Le Castel was the only black mark in my accommodation stays. The place is tired, the hosts are curt and rude, offering very little in terms of warm hospitality and customer focus. And most of all, the thing that I found especially hard to take, was that they are not honourable. I had a made a mistake in the booking date, and then separately I asked if I could upgrade to a more expensive room with a bath. The hotel said both times that I should “cancel’ the booking and book again, and that they would not charge a cancellation fee. In reality, they gave me back some money but definitely not all, and I was short by £150 or 175 Euros, which is a lot of money. They did not honour their word and could not be bothered. Don’t go anywhere near Hotel Le Castel is my strong advice.

Hôtel très propre, clair et confortable, situé à côté du Château. Très bon accueil, arrangeant Quoique prés de la route pas de bruit. Les petits oiseaux au réveil. Jardin arboré, terrasse aux chaises de couleurs, on pourrait se croire dans un tableau. On conserve l'adresse pour une prochaine fois

Arrivés un dimanche soir, tout fermé sur Brissac Nos hôtes se sont arrangés pour nous proposer un dîner improvisé dans le salon avec plateau de charcuterie et salades variées Chambres confortables et très propres Petit déjeuner avec œufs jambon viennoiseries compotes confitures et plusieurs pains Il ne manquait rien! Un hôtel à recommander sans hésiter Vraiment à l’écoute des clients Merci

Très bel accueil. Les patrons sont très à l'écoute de leurs clients. Lit très confortable. Chambre très propre. Le repas (paella) réservé au dernier moment pour 9 personnes etait très correct. Hôtel très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Hôtel à la décoration ancienne mais d'un bon confort. Chambre de bonne taille avec literie très confortable, et ou la lumière extérieure est parfaitement occultée. Insonorisation entre les chambres moyenne mais pas gênant. Très bon petit déjeuner très complet avec d'excellents pains. Possibilité de dîner ce qui est très appréciable le dimanche soir...

Quasiment face au château de Brissac, l'hôtel le Castel nous accueille au coeur d'un petit jardin. La chambre que nous avions possédait un lit grande largeur avec une belle salle d'eau donnant sur l'extérieur. Une ambiance très cosy et un peu surannée avec plusieurs tapis, tableau, bibliothèque avec livres de collection qui nécessiterait d'y passer de nombreux mois pour lire les oeuvres de Pierre Benoît ou de A.J. Cronin !!. La tapisserie mériterait un remplacement. Salle de bain avec des matériaux de très belle qualité et pomme de douche lumineuse ! Au mur un tableau pointilliste et naîf. L'ensemble est très propre. Aucune nuisance sonore à déplorer. Les couloirs, escaliers et salles disposent de nombreux tableaux dans le style Van Gogh, Monet ou Seurat, rendant ce lieu atypique. Possibilité de réserver avec le repas du soir, correct et servi rapidement. Petit déjeuner partiellement en self. Attention à certains GPS (celui de notre voiture et même waze qui ne nous a absolument pas amené à l'emplacement de l'hôtel mais impasse des barrières pour ce dernier et encore plus en amont pour notre GPS
