From the moment we checked in Anna and Boyd made us feel so welcome. Rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. The evening meal (steak pie ) was delicious and the breakfast was genuinely up there with the best I’ve had. Quality ingredients that were perfectly cooked. Can’t recommend this place enough as a base to explore the New Forest. Thank you for helping making our cycling break so enjoyable.

We like to stay in "Pubs with Rooms" and this is one of the better ones. We had a feature room, which on reflection, was a good choice but in the older part of the hotel with limited headroom for someone over 6 feet tall, the shower could have been better. :-) We had an excellent dinner, and excellent lunch and two very substantial breakfasts during our stay. The management are building a good team, and we had very attentive and professional service. In short, we really like the vibe, and the managers relaxed but hands on approach. We hope to be back later in the year.

Lovely service, rooms, food and location. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Felt well looked after and was in a great location. Would definitely stay here again. The rooms were really cosy and modern and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here

Had a three nights stay with our two dogs. It was excellent in every way and the stable rooms are amazing. Very large bed and lots of space. The linen and towels were of top quality. The hosts were very nice and we were made to feel welcome as soon as we went into the hotel. The dogs were made very welcome and were allowed everywhere including the restaurant.

Only stayed one night but found the room charming and very comfortable with all you need including robes and treats if you wish . .Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We ate in the evening and found the meals reasonably priced and arrive good .Thank you for a lovely stay

A very warm welcome from John , our room was well laid out very well prepared , ready before the normal check in time comfortable bed , the treats available were a nice touch and is based on honestly we were happy to comply if not a bit greeedy , the bar and restaurant atmosphere at the venue is very inviting , breakfast the next day was good value and delicious , a big thanks to all of the team very attentive and helpful

Overnight stay whilst visiting friends for a birthday celebration. We had a small room (pheasant) over the pub. It was very compact and probably better suited for a single person , but for 1 night it was fine. Recently refurbished, the room was well furnished and spotlessly clean, with a really comfortable bed. It had plenty of power sockets and good mirrors which a lot of places don't think about. The only fault i could find was that there was no hairdryer , but perhaps it was hidden and I didn't locate it! A good breakfast was provided, freshly cooked to order with local ingredients. I would stay again, in a larger room, and would recommend to anyone looking yo stay in the village

Exceptional service at The Huntsman. The accommodation and food were excellent, provided by the Landlords Anna and Boyd. We stayed 4 days to tour the New Forest and enjoyed great ale and food in the restaurant. Looking forward to a return trip.
