Unfortunately, we had a delayed arrival which was made less stressful as the wonderful Sofie was so accommodating and calm about it. Sofie instantly makes you feel at home, giving information about the house and then a short tour. The house is really lovely, everything we hoped it would be. Fortunately, the weather was fantastic during our stay and we had ample opportunity to use the lovely little courtyard to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Our room was very spacious, spotless, well equipped and stocked with fine toiletries. Massive marble shower room and changing area. Bed was so comfortable you almost did not want to get up. But given that the house is so well located for walking into town, we always did :) There are various ways to walk into the main town and all only take a few minutes. The local area, down Langestraat is well worth exploring also as there are many little bars/restaurants that are fantastic and not as "touristy". The Sint-Anna Quarter to the other side is another hidden gem that Sofie will explain to you. Thoroughly recommend you take her advice. Fortunately :), we had a delayed departure due to the national strike and were able to stay on for another 2 days. We had a wonderful holiday in a wonderful city in a wonderful house with a wonderful host and will return again to Bruges and Molenmeers.
