Room good and spacious, not very special. A beautiful place to stay. The kitchen is good. The area is beautiful, don't forget to rent a bike or take it with you. Hiking is also great in this area.

Experience special wonderful days at Engelenburg Castle, a beautiful location if you have an eye for it. we felt more than welcome, from receptionist/service to hostess/gentleman, all equally friendly and helpful.......the owner told us about the castle's past....took all the time for you and was very kind and friendly. also nice atmosphere among each other...humor etc.... both dinner and breakfast were excellent with the view of that great garden!!!! we had a beautiful spacious room with a lovely terrace, excellent shower and beds. Of course, some things are outdated, but that's why you stay in a castle, this gives everything the charm. We will never forget our stay at the Castle, CLASS!!

We stayed at Engelenburg Castle for the 10th time and the regime change is clearly noticeable. The ongoing renovations and the clearly visible lack of staff leave their mark. People are clearly looking for a 'new wind' and I wonder whether too much new wind is good for this institute. The new chef is trying to put new culinary accents and it takes some getting used to the new taste bombs that are presented that make people return to other countries and return to the basics. we have thoroughly enjoyed it and have already made reservations for next year and are curious where Engelenburg will end up.

We chose this location in 2019 for our wedding, which, due to the covid situation, eventually took place in November 2021. The choice for Engelenburg Castle was mainly due to its location and the possibility to stay overnight for all our guests. From the first contact we knew that this would be a good choice for us. The great reception, the guidance and the smooth contact, especially with Mr. Palma, was experienced as very pleasant by us. Always correct and thoughtful. Because we were dealing with a large group of many nationalities, this required quite a bit of effort from the hotel, which was very well done. Even with the 2x resistance and the obstacles that were thrown, there was tireless and flexible action. The rooms in the Castle are great, whether it's the standard room or the fantastic orangerie suite. Each room has something unique but feels warm and welcome, and the beds are amazingly good. The service and the service provided by the staff is of a high quality and very professional. Then the food, this is very good, from the layout to the taste experience, everything is perfectly balanced and fits together nicely. We experienced this both with the Sunday afternoon lunches that we enjoyed in the preliminary phase to the dinners that we were served during the wedding. The wines they use are South African and complement the meals perfectly, the sommelier really knows his stuff! Whether you want to get away for a weekend and enjoy the surroundings and the great rooms and food, have a wedding, or if you want to do a whiskey tasting (about 300 Scottish whiskeys / single malts available) Engelenburg Castle is the appropriate location for this.
