Hotels near Metro Simonis Leopold II, Brussels

This hotel had a great atmosphere. The location was excellent, with fantastic access to public transportation. A stroll through the botanical gardens was also very pleasant. I received an email saying my room was ready before the official check-in time, which allowed me to get into my room early – that was a real lifesaver! The breakfast had a great variety and was absolutely delicious. The salad and waffles were particularly good.

Check-in is 3pm and we arrived at 3pm but the room was only ready at almost 4pm. The story was that it was cleaned already but ”awaiting inspection”. We were handed 2 bar coupons with a blithe apology in rapid fire French for our 50 min wait. The vacuuming in the room left much to be desired. When we got into the room on the 1st day, there was a pistachio at the side of the bed. My sister's dust allergy was triggered throughout our 4 day stay. When we opted for housekeeping on the 3rd of the 4 days we stayed, the same pistachio remained there after the cleaning staff were done. Towels and bed linens were refreshed but the coffee/tea and bathroom amenities were not. If you choose the Deluxe twin room like we did, please note that the room is 24 metre square and there is only room to open up one medium sized suitcase on the ground. Our other suitcase had to be accessed via the wardrobe which was spacious enough to keep the 2nd suitcase in. Location wise, it's ideal and a stone's throw from Grand Place - the historic city centre, and many shops and good brasseries. It's a 10 min uphill walk from the hotel to the nearest train station called Brussel Centraal / Bruxelles-Midi which will bring you straight to the Brussels Airport in 17 min on the direct train (1st class carriage €12.10). The buffet breakfast is plentiful and of good quality (with eggs cooked to order) in a nice space with a courtyard view crewed by pleasant staff fluent in English. The bar has a relaxing ambience with an outdoor view and affordable drinks. My guide is always how much the increasingly rare digestif liqueur Chartreuse Verte costs. It was €14 per pour. Note : You get a free coupon for a soft drink/coffee/beer/wine if you pass up on room cleaning. If you have a short stay, you should as there wasn't much cleaning done.

Pros: This hotel is exceptionally clean. The floral arrangements and plant decor throughout the property are truly impressive. The room itself is spacious and very comfortable. All staff members, from the front desk to housekeeping, were consistently friendly. I found the breakfast buffet to offer a commendable variety of food options. Furthermore, the hotel's location is highly advantageous, being in close proximity to both Lemonier station and Midi train station, which facilitates easy access to various attractions. Minor Cons: My room overlooked the square, which experienced frequent pedestrian traffic, including homeless individuals. This occasionally led to noise disturbances from conversations and shouting.

This hotel was very beautiful. The facility is very new and smells good. The receptionists are all very friendly and spoke fluent english. In the room, they provided most of the amenities you will need. There is also Netflix available (use your own account).

It is a new hotel next to Brussels-Midi station. The decor is very modern. The staffs are super friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed it. They have a small cafe in the lobby and there are many place to hang out. There is also a small gym in the basement which is quite nice. Overall, it was a good stay.

This hotel is really old... Don't let the five-star rating fool you, it feels more like a three-star. The elevator is incredibly slow, from 1999! The furniture in the room is also very dated. The front desk sells bottled water in glass bottles for 8 euros a pop – ridiculous. As our Belgian client told us, the hotel's location is right between a safe area and an unsafe one. It's close to the light rail, but there's no elevator from the light rail station to the street level, which is quite annoying. Walking to the city center is fairly convenient though. For the price, it offers good value for money; other hotels in the same area are more expensive.

Hotel was clean, convenient. I love how big and spacious our room was and it had aircondition and a bath tub. It made us want to enjoy the hotel as well. The complementary was great. Will recommend

The hotel is located in the city center, making it convenient to walk to many attractions. There are also a lot of restaurants nearby, offering a wide selection of international cuisines, and a supermarket for groceries, which is very handy!

The hotel is very nice and modern. The staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and clean. The only problem is the location. It is not located in the touristy area. There is no easy public transportation to the grand place except by bus or taxi/uber. Walking to grand place takes around 30 mins passing through Brussels Park and Royal Palace. The positive point is that the area where the hotel is located is very quiet.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right near Brussels' Grand Place – literally a two-minute walk away. There are tons of restaurants and shops nearby, making it super convenient. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, which is a rare find in Europe, and the facilities were great. Having a kettle was a huge plus for us. We stayed for two nights, and the steak restaurant directly across from the hotel entrance was amazing – delicious and not expensive, so it was incredibly convenient to grab a meal right outside. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it!
