Folkestone Inn

Tranquility, lap cat Jerry, old house charm, incredible breakfasts with fresh fruit, eggs and ham, proximity to amazing hiking trails in the Smoky mt park. All of these made for a rejuvenating 3 days. We needed to calm down after evacuating our retreat near Little Switzerland due to wildfires last week. We swapped that retreat for Folkestone Inn. I enjoyed this one more. And we will return!! Thanks Toni for your hospitality and wonderful food!

Excellent, comfortable and homelike place to stay near Bryson City. The location is excellent and very close to Bryson city, two national parks entrances and a short drive to the ****** and a nice walkable city(Sylva). The room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing as well. We loved the breakfast and it was different each of the 3 days we stayed. Afternoon cookies and tea were a nice treat to look forward too as well. There is a very sweet and affectionate cat named Cherry that lives at the inn(outdoors) that loves to be pet. Lots of chickens live at the Deviled Egg Inn on the property and supply the delicious eggs for breakfast. There is a farm right next door that has horses and cows which are beautiful to watch from the porch or through the window as you eat breakfast. There is also a small “game room” with a ton of board games and also plenty of books throughout the inn for a quick read. It was a great experience and would definitely come back again.

Our stay was very relaxing. Scott was very friendly and an exceptional cook. His meals were absolutely delicious. The bed was super comfy and we really enjoyed having our coffee by the faux fireplace in our room. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by rolling hills and wildlife. The house is five minutes from downtown and five minutes from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park with lots of trails and waterfalls. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway.

This is the place if you want to get away. So peaceful and quiet. Sit on the inviting and relaxing front porch to have your morning coffee. We slept in the boats and paddles room with a very comfortable king bed, bathroom had a clawfoot tub with shower. We also had a small porch off our room, great little spot to read a book. The breakfast each morning was fabulous!! Best breakfast we've every had. The lemon pancakes were our favorite of the 3 days, and I don't eat a lot of lemon anything. The Bed and Breakfast is so close to hiking/walking trails and downtown Bryson City. We give Toni and Scott Folkestone Inn 5 stars. Hope to go back in the future.

We loved our stay at Folkestone Inn. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful What a treat to have such gourmet breakfasts! The Inn was very comfortable and clean and our room was cozy. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Bryson City.

So cozy! We loved everything that the Inn provided, and we most definitely will make plans to return. The location seems just a little off the beaten path, but that made it the perfect spot. Nestled near The Great Smoky Mountains, surrounded by tall trees, roaming animals, and the peacefulness of nature, it was the perfect getaway for our anniversary weekend! Each morning we had coffee ready to enjoy on the porch where you could watch the hens run loose and the roasters announcing that a new and beautiful day had arrived! Simply not enough words to describe how wonderful breakfast was every morning. Each day we were treated to a new variety of deliciousness that delighted the palate. Trust us, only staying for 3 nights is not enough time to fully enjoy the peaceful ambiance that this quaint Inn provides!
